Making Picture Size Smaller

Hey guys

One for all you photo pro people out there.

How do I make my images smaller in size?? I want to change my avatar pic but I cant get my photo's below 700kb. Im on the lowest setting on my camera and i've cropped it as much as I can. Im stuck with what else to do.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you want to do it yourself try Paint, or you can download Gimp which is a free cousin to Photoshop.

If you don't have Gimp or photoshop, just use the resize function in Paint.

Yeah i have Gimp. Works the same as photoshop. Has a resize option within. PCs must have some kind of program that lets you do it. Alternatively, load it up to photobucket, resize it and then drag it back to your desktop.

Yea they probably do Pete just new laptop so am not up to scratch with new system, Windows 7 and all.
