Luke Stormtrooper blaster...................................

I know this has been discussed at length on numerous forums, but bare with me.

As we know the Luke Stormtrooper figure is supposed to come with a jet black version of the imperial blaster. Thing is, I can't remember my childhood Luke having
a blaster like that...in fact I'm convinced I had a deep blue/black 'regular' version of said blaster. I don't have that figure anymore so i can't verify it.

I bought a couple childhood collections these past couple months, and scored 2 more Luke Stormtroopers...neither of which came with a jet black blaster. One collection was
complete with all weapons, even all the tiny Endor blasters were there, but no black blaster for Luke.

I spoke to someone on Facebook who informed me that the person who runs The Imperial Gunnery mentioned that towards the end of the run, the Tri-Logo carded Luke Stormtroopers
came with a variety of blasters, not exclusively the black ones.

Seeing how I'm from Holland, and I bought my Luke Stormie in 1985/1986 on a Tri-Logo card, and the loose Lukes I bought recently all came from Holland (and consequently came from TL cards as well) this leads
me to believe that those black blasters weren't available here (in Holland) or maybe even in Europe..?

I understand that tose blasters are easy to mix up, but I have never encountered a black blaster here, and I have 5 Luke Stormtroopers right now...

Thoughts?

haha - it's a small world - I was speaking with Henrik this morning and he said he'd be talking to someone in Holland about this ... you !

It was me that suggested that they could have packed the Trilogo Luke Stormies with the wrong weapon - there are loads of Trilogo figures out there with the wrong weapons so it certainly isn't inconceivable that the odd one didn't come with a Blue/Black blaster - however pretty much every carded version (Trilogo & POTF) documented comes with a jet black one so I think that it is pretty much safe to say that they were. When you think how many figures came the with blue/black one then it is very likely that in every case the black one was lost or misplaced

It's still very odd to me that I have never come across a black blaster even though I have had a bunch of Luke Stormtroopers pass through my fingers...and I didn't even manage to find one in a very complete childhood collection... :?

My carded Luke Stormies have 2 slightly different weapons. PotF is black - no translucent spots. Trilogo appears black, with 2 translucent spots (front of scope and front of barrel) - but cant get a good pic of it.

Yeah, that kind of proves my point…to an extent…would love to hear more opinions.
