Luke Jedi Variations

Good question and from the pic it does look that way! However that vertical white line is actually on the card itself right next to the factory seal. its a line of paint loss, unfortunatly the card is not one of the best in my collection but pretty good and the bubble is mint and fully factory sealed! Jim Stevenson wont sell reseals my friend-not to my knowledge anyway!

Good to hear. I'd certainly love to still see some nice close up pics of the bubble. In fact if you didn't mind I could see about getting it added to lukejedi.info or you could contact Bob (Site Owner) directly if you wanted.

Thanks my good man!

I can see that piece means alot to you so if I ever trade/sell you will be first in line! :D

Here is what I remember about the blue sabre Luke Jedi, I have really strong memories of this figure as I badly wanted one, in Sheffield the only shop that stocked the blue sabre variety was Debenhams on the moor, I must have spent months looking for this figure as a kid, everyone else had piles of green sabres and no kid wanted one, as soon as Debenhams got stock in they were all gone, my mum even asked if they would save one as we had been going every Saturday for ages and they point blankly refused as everyone was asking for them Smiths Cole Brothers and Boots all had 100s of greens but no one wanted them, I do wonder if this is the reason why this one is so hard to track down on a Palitoy card back. I did get one in the end from Debenhams and I still have him no saber and no card back but he Deffinately came from Debenhams!

Just love hearing the childhood stories! 8)
I actually rem my friend first getting the Luke Jedi(he was spoilt so always got the lastest toys before anyone else ) and me turning my nose up at it because it had the blue sabre! This was because I had recently seen ROTJ at the cinema and obviously saw Luke with the green sabre so when I finally got mine I was over the moon because I got the green sabre version!

Shawn appears to be the man to talk to on this figure, looks like he has put a lot of work in to researching and collecting examples of it!!

Heres mine the very one i had as a kid, if you look you can see i had to repaint the end of his nose! his cape came apart and i remember my mum dropping a couple of stitches in it to hold it back together! now after seeing him i need to add an original blue sabre and gun! The blue variety phenomenon must have just been round my way you could find greens but no blues! Shawn has some amazing luke jedi items he certainly is the man to speak to about LJ's

You know about 4 years ago there was a guy in Australia (if memory serves) who had a load of original blue sabres that were factory over stock! I purchased 1 on eBay as I too had lost my original green sabre with my childhood Luke Jedi. It was priced as though it was a repro, think I only paid £5 so wasn't holding my breath, but sure enough it was original!!

Here is some loose LL Variants on Luke Jedi:

That sounds like the overstock that Dan found. He's had a lot of that on ebay for several years.
