Recently went away with the family to Wales and lost my camera dropped in a car park after a day out in Cardiff. After realsing I went back and retraced my steps but nothing had resigned myself to losing it along with a lot of pictures which hurt the most. I was planning on popping to the police station but upon checking my email the next morning I had a message from a lady saying she had found my camera :shock:

I had basically taken a picture of my email address for ebay purposes and left it on the memory card and the lady found it whilst snooping through my pics and had the decency to email me. Picked it up later that morning and was over the moon

So I would recommend leaving some contact details on your camera card as you may one day loose it yourself and be lucky enough like me to get it back

Result, so happy for you, its a rarity in this day & age to get something back if you lose it, but feels so good & restores one's faith when you do.

I also put it down to karma having handed in some keys that we found upon arriving at the hotel but without doubt the right person found it

Amazingly my son also lost his sonic screwdriver which was returned after popping back into Forbidden Planet where he had left it, I think he must have been distracted by all that sci fi goodness
