Looking to collate photos of Repro Weapons help needed

Repro weapons suck ass, if only we could get back all that time spent trying to find out if we each had repro weapons..

I just found a ****ing repro stormtrooper blaster in my collection! Slightly off blue to a real one, makes that shite sound when dropped on the table and its missing its circle on the barrel...

I went through my set as best as I could when I was assembling it and I often sent figures back or got my money back but I guess you can miss one or two, I will be doing a full inventory when I finally get my case made up.

I hate them, you can guarantee at least 90% were sold as original !

Well that was exhausting work, I just went through the entire set, found 5-6 more and 2 in my spares pot!

With the case on the way I think it's just as well I did it now before I wanted to put them in the case, even without a weapon is better than complete with a repro one!

Got a couple I can't work out though and will post pictures tomorrow!

Oh and the majority of the weapons I need are in the post already with some upgrades 8)

heres a few i have on file..

Nice going Ian! You helping Jay on the site? I need to take some shots for him as well

I agree with Bryan on the Rebel Commando rifle. Both are original- they are refered to as the green & tan versions in the RS photo archive :) Keep up the good work everyone.

sorry guys gotta dissagree , i know there are two shades of rebel commando rifle , but the one in the pic on the left is not only a different shade , the detailing is totally different , heres the weapons you refere to in the rs link , different shades , but the same detailing , :) ... maybe i'm wrong .. any more input

I think the 2 on RS (top pic)are different shades and different detailing exactly as you have descibed it. The tan one is the "repro" one?? I have 4 of the tan/repro ones & I am positive 2 are from my childhood and certainly all 4 'sound' correct. The one labeled original (& green mold)is easy to pick because of its thin strap. I hope I am correct otherwise I only have 1 genuine one

Big Thanks! for all the info and pic's put forward.

Tim great pictures and descriptions nice one!

If i use any pictures on the website ill make sure to credit people.

Please continue to submit on this thread, debate / lock down whats real repro etc
as its gonna help out ton's

Cheers All

james , is there any chance you could take a pic of your 4 rebel commando weapons , could be a big help to sort them out , . the reason i say the one in my pic is repro , is because of the detailing , well lack of it , there is no detailing on the handle and the sight is less prominent at the front , ?? both varients on RS have the detailed handle and longer scope , regardless of colour :)

I'm with Ian on this one, the small cross hatching pattern /dotted pattern on the gun handle is not there.

There are lots of weapons on jawa's armory that don't have repro images to compare to as there wasn't any when the site was put together, however you can get them all now.

ERG force pike is tough to spot!

Can you guys see a cross hatching/dotted pattern on the handle of the tan mold picture?? I know I need glasses but I still think the 2 original ones on RS are different molds. Does anyone else have smooth handled rifles(and not as detailed) that are NOT repros? My 4 could be from worn molds??

Yep they both have that pattern on the handle from where I am looking

Here's a shot of my 2 versions for refrence. The Tan one (top) is less detailed than the bottom one and there is a circular mold flash found just above the trigger.

i think both of yours are genuine james , if you look at these areas on yours i have circled and the repro in my pic , repros have no texture at all on the handle and the area in front of the trigger is flat compared to both of yours
