loft find with a VCJ?

Wow, I've definitely got nothing like this in my loft. You would have thought a loft find in the UK would have Palitoy cards but I suppose it could have been a collectors loft - Just hope they're all genuine.

Let me assure you that the UK was flooded with Kenner cards too, so your thoughts on UK loft finds are wrong.

Although this auction looks dodgy, im thinking these belonged to a collector, and i only say that because of the POTF figures. However, it could have been from a
USA holiday or whatever-we will never know

I didn't start getting SW until the 20 backs and up my way they were all Palitoy ( i kept the card backs) along with the 30 and 40 back empires. Kenner logo'd stuff only appeared with jedi 65's cards. But it makes sense I suppose that in some areas kenner stuff would have been imported to keep up with demand.

I always remembered seeing the Palitoy logo growing up and thought all of mine were Palitoy. That was until I realised that I had an orange snake Yoda so could have only really been from a kenner card. Since that discovery I've seen lots of peoples UK childhood collections with Kenner logos from 30 backs onwards (or is it 31 for Kenner, can never remember).

Never really seen the first 20 on kenner cards over here though but I'm sure someone out there from the UK had them.

Since that discovery I've seen lots of peoples UK childhood collections with Kenner logos from 30 backs onwards (or is it 31 for Kenner, can never remember).

Give me a figure as a nipper and the bubble was ripped off and the packaging discarded in a second without any thought or consideration to who distributed it. Anyway, I choose to believe that my VCJ was a Kenner one, would have hated to have ripped a Palitoy one!

I'm going to choose to believe that my VCJ was Palitoy as I really do remember seeing that logo on my card backs (although there is the yoda mistake of mine!). Just wished I'd kept the card back to know for sure. I also sold my childhood figures to my mates brother so I'm still hoping we'll find them in his loft one day. His Dad is such a hoarder (does have a serious problem with it), that they really could be tucked away somewhere in that house. Maybe it'll be a true VCJ loft find :lol:

It must be frustrating for you knowing that your figures are most probably sitting in his loft!! Could you not just ask him for them back ? I would and give a 4 pack or something for his efforts.

He's a good friend who now lives in Scotland so he's not back home in Bristol that much. also as I said his father has a bit of a hoarding problem and the house is just filled with things. They last time he went in there every room was filled with junk to the point that there was a path to a seat and the TV in the front room with piles of old newspapers in between them. Even the bath was filled with old rubbish. I get the feeling that nobody's getting in that loft until after he passes away.

There's still hope though that he get the house sorted and one day I'll have something to show on here.
