i'm fairly new to collecting carded figures and would be grateful for any advice. i noticed this ESB carded Lobot looks a bit shabby around the left edge of the bubble and it got me wondering if it's a reseal or if it's been tampered with.......

doesnt matter gustie ,if you peel bubble away so it lifts all backing colour to shape of bubble you can cut it straight so it reseals perfect ,if you understand that.

you may need to give him a link to your picture posting thread though

ok pics there now
look at this klaatu i opened http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3401&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15

assuming that no-one else is a devious as jabba, I'd say its fine

looking closer i think its sellotape i can see holding the blaster on

yup, it is tape however it has come away from the side of the bubble and is resting against Lobot. the blaster is of course loose....

what concerned me about this carded figure was the untidy bubble edges mainly on the left. they are warped and seem to have retractedly slight leaving a faint outline from the original bubble edge. is this common with ESB carded figures?

i'm happy to take pics from other angles if it helps

hi guys ....it was me that sold the lobot to biggs.... ts 110% moc... and as most of you know me you know that i know the difference between a reseal and a genuine "moc"..... as i recall the weapon had just come loose from the selotape..... but its defentetly moc... 8)

Nah its definately a reseal, only joking!

I had a Lobot which looked exactly the same, just age and when the bubble was first applied!

they are heat applied and can crimp when being put on as far as i gather

i have around 10 carded figures at the mo', 2 of them ESB - they both have similar warped edges. I wonder was this a defect with ESB bubbles only as i have other carded figures [SW & ROTJ] and they are fine?
