Chaps,

Can you put small silica gel packets in acrylic display cases with MOC figures??

Looking into a solution for mold.

I suppose you could, but if there was moisture retained in the packet could it mark the card ? I forget if the packets are papery or a plastic. You could try taping the packet to the inside of the case, so its above , I don`t think I`d put it resting on the bubble Incase.
Is it where they are being stored that is slightly damp ?

I have small silica gell packs on scattered around in my cabinets behind the acrylic cases.
As mentioned I would be concerned about having them in contact with the MOC itself.

Silica gel absorbs water well, but very quickly exhausts itself, meaning you must either constantly replace the packets or look for an alternative solution. If you have a damp problem, or if like me you simply want to be extra cautious, I recommend getting a dehumidifier (or two!). One of the best makes around is Meaco, and I run 2 of them; one in my main collection room, and a second in my kitchen (my house is small, but I want to take no chances with my collection, having previously had some problems with damp / mould).

I have two of the 10 Litre capacity models, but an identically sized 12 Litre version is also available (the capacity being the total amount of water it can theoretically remove from the air in a 24 hour period):

Hope that helps.
