As a few of you might have seen, Tim (Timbo) has had some really bad news with his wedding. His venue was flooded and they have refused to send him the deposit money back (and have possibly gone into receivership)

They have sorted out another venue but need the cash to pay for this one - a mate of Tim's posted on Facebook that everyone should send Tim & his partner a tenner towards the cost of new venue and I think this is a great idea.

I have already sent my tenner over and hopefully a few of you guys can do the same - I won't post Tim's PayPal email on here in case he gets spammed so if you don't have it then drop me a PM and I'll send it over

PM sent and I'm was glad someone has suggested this, so nice one Iain. :D

This might sound obvious but can he not claim the money back through his bank/credit card company? 18 months ago I used my Halifax debit card to buy carpet for my house. The company then went bankrupt and refused to pay me anything back. The debt handling company even told me that there was no way I would be able to get my money back  However, Halifax said they would pay me back if I got a letter from the company confirming that they had gone in recievership.

After this I went in with the letter and they refunded the money instantly :)

Might be worth a try
