Total bummer! Not what you need this close to your wedding and must be a nightmare to sort out especially as its so close to Christmas.

Tim I really hope they do refund your money. They will have insurance cover for the flood so have no right to keep your deposit. If the reason was your fault then maybe, but flooding is an unseen evenT so should refund you.

I will be sending some money over from myself and Jez. Like everyone else, if they do refund you please keep the money and treat yourself and your future wife to something special.

Hi guys - there has been a cracking response so far. It goes to show just what a great forum this is and what a fantastic community spirit exists. IF any more of you can help Tim out that would be great - he still hasn't had the refund and it was confirmed today that the hotel has gone into receivership - so it's not looking good.

ive just spoken to the guy who is dealing with the liquidation and he told me not to expect any money back as its all looking pretty bad

They had no insurance of any kind

Feeling a bit devasatated atm
