Leia white cape - real or fake?

Great link...i have a minty pbp/ledy ben ...i have now matched the smooth cape with him and my zip cape with my white hair hk ben...i may have got them mixed up when i was dipping the capes in boiling water to smooth them out a while ago!

Ok Here is my 3 capes that confuse me a lot. Non of them make the zip sound, but they does also not look like other repro capes that I have found. So are they real or good fakes ? and if they are real what variant did they come from ?

Hi Lars, you got that Leia cape off me cheap as at the time I couldn't be 100% sure it was legit. I still think its legit though and I'd heard a roumer at the time it was the correct variant for the no COO Leia. Can't help you with the others but they look good to me and if one factory produced Leia with a smooth cape then why not a tusken and vader too, I'm not sure but I think some POCH also came without zippy sounding capes, I don't know though.

The vader cape is ID as Taiwan.

But I still need to ID the Leia and the Tusken Raider cape ? :?

Thats interesting, Lars. I'm keenly waiting till my Leias arrive but it will take some time, since I bought a Taiwan COO from canada and a couple nice, white HK from (guess where) Denmark

The moment they arrive, I'll make large macro shots of the different capes and let you know what I found out ... 8)

What I aint going to do, is buy some repro crap (at least not intentional)!

Great to read you found some nice figures in denmark Would love to read what you learn from the figs you are waiting for. I hope my leia cape is original. Wish somebody could help us ID them

Andy as some of the other members write there is a no zip for the taiwan leia. But I do not know how spot it between a repro.

My Taiwan Leia came with a non-zip cape that still feels legit and is a good fit. I'm sure it's the same one listed by yourself Andy, and the one you have Lars. It was also from a 'good' childhood collection so I trust it ... However I also picked up a HK Leia with the same non-zip cape from another collection that did have a few repro items in it. So like Lars I have them both quarantined for now...

Here are a couple of photos, sorry hard to capture the texture with my camera. Taiwan on the left, HK on the right. Material is the same but just noticed that the Taiwan cape is 4-5mm longer, it almost touches the ground when standing.
