Leia white cape - real or fake?

Taiwan next to what looks like a reproduction cape.

My conclusion: the first one I got was a repro cape and i should never trust an ebay seller ...
But: the good thing is, I now know what to look for, when a HK, no Coo and Taiwan Leia cape comes across

So do you think it is only leia that have a smooth cape with no zip sound ?

I have a vader, leia and tusken raider. That confuse me, but I was told they were original :?

I have a ben cape that is smooth on both sides...came on white haired hk ben. Bought from a member from here..so i presumed it was real.
Asked the question on here a while a go but did not get a definative answer!

Thanks for the link mate, but wish they have also compared it with a repro cape. Because the repro capes I have seen are also smooth on both sides :?

Great link...i have a minty pbp/ledy ben ...i have now matched the smooth cape with him and my zip cape with my white hair hk ben...i may have got them mixed up when i was dipping the capes in boiling water to smooth them out a while ago!

Ok Here is my 3 capes that confuse me a lot. Non of them make the zip sound, but they does also not look like other repro capes that I have found. So are they real or good fakes ? and if they are real what variant did they come from ?

Hi Lars, you got that Leia cape off me cheap as at the time I couldn't be 100% sure it was legit. I still think its legit though and I'd heard a roumer at the time it was the correct variant for the no COO Leia. Can't help you with the others but they look good to me and if one factory produced Leia with a smooth cape then why not a tusken and vader too, I'm not sure but I think some POCH also came without zippy sounding capes, I don't know though.

But I still need to ID the Leia and the Tusken Raider cape ? :?
