No, I think that's fine

The new baywatch film is supposed to be dreadful, unsurprisingly.

What did you not like about Alien Covenant Edd? I thought it was ok. Not the best film I've ever seen, that's Care Bears the movie OBVIOUSLY, but it wasn't the worst film ever. A few plot holes and bits where ppl do dumb stuff just to advance the plot but, sadly, that's par for the course with Hollywood.

Just watched Life, was looking forward to this but more garbage. I can simply sum this up as what would happen if six morons somehow found themselves on the International Space Station and made a catalogue of terrible decisions. Completely unbelievable because nobody (especially astronauts) would be this bloody stupid again and again.

I saw Alien Covenant today, thought it was bloody terrible. I haven't seen Prometheus recently but I think this was probably worse. I think I'm done watching new films, I just always hate them. Saw a trailer for the new Baywatch at the cinema, that looked dreadful too.

know what you mean about new films. From Phantom Menace to A-Team and Transformers, the last 15-20 years has been pretty grim compared to all those top films of the 90s. There are several films just out on DVD or coming soon that he have had great reviews and am half looking forward to getting hold of them

Hackshaw Ridge
Manchester By The Sea
Moonlight
A Monster Calls
Sully
Lion
T2 Trainspotting
Hidden Figures

I have watched HS Ridge it really is brutal viewing showing the full horror of war up close. I found it really interesting learning about the guy which the movie is based on when he went out to the Japanese held island's during WW2.
Also watched TS 2 I really enjoyed seeing everyone back again in full flow. Its good but for me it wouldn't hold a candle to the first one. I never tire watching T1 with Spud, and the gang.

I don't know why but I prefer Prometheus over Covenant. Its a good watch but as others said you can pick holes if you want but overall I enjoyed it. It filled a few gaps for me. There are a few bits that still puzzled me and i would like to ask a question on. I'll leave it for now in case a few spoiler's are given.

Just finished watching suicide squad, entertaining but not my cup of tea! I found the whole story not my thing. Still it will pass a few lighthearted hrs.

Wonder woman.

Ehhh, yeah. Not sure what to make of it. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting given it's set during WW1, i don't think that counts as a spoiler.
It's a fairly generic superhero movie. Lots of fight scenes and the superhero ehh being the hero and saving the day. Not really anything to distinguish it from the literally dozens and dozens of other superhero movies out there. It could have done with a bit more editing though, it really really drags in places. They could have lobbed 30 mins off its run time without losing any of the fairly poor plot.

If you're bored and have 2 odd hours to kill there are worse ways, but it's perhaps unsurprisingly, pretty forgetable.

Thanks I think I will give it a miss.

Ah now the Wonder Woman appearance in the picture in 'Dawn of Justice' makes more sense to me now.

Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 before it finished at the flicks... terribly disappointing. I really enjoyed the first (which was a surprise as I loathe Marvel type films), this one was utter trash. first 10-15 minutes was ok, after that fell off a cliff and died... or at least I wish the makers had...

Oh I wish you hadn't said that...I have pre ordered the Steelbook bluray!
Should I cancel?

I didn't mind Guardians 2. It's not amazing, there are some funny bits and some bits that are daft. The plot is a bit meh, but it's not the worst film i've seen this year.

Finally got round to watching Selma.

Meh

Was that supposed to be a film? Felt more like a middle of the road documentary with some phoned in acting by a lot of top talent.

Just watched a space film called Return of the Jedi
Its a bit weird.. loads of aliens all over the place and killer teddy bears
I think I saw something like it as a kid, but this one had lots of burping and farting in it that I'm sure wasn't in the one I remember
Anyway, it was pretty good, I'd recommend it, but not sure it'll have mass appeal :?
