Kenners Unproduced Toys 1986 - Tandem X-Wing Fighter

In 1986 Kenner's plans to continue the vintage Star Wars line were cancelled. All that remains of the planned extension to the Power Of The Force line are a few black and white photos and written descriptions. Using this archival material and with the help of some talented model builders I am proud to share with you a series of customs that hopefully give some idea as to how those unproduced toys might have appeared as actual products. These unproduced toys – and much more - will be on view at the free-to-enter 'May The Toys Be With You' exhibition at The Beaney in Canterbury Kent from Dec 5th to March 6th. I hope you can attend!

I do enjoy the insight of what could have been. That's probably why I've watched plastic Galaxy so many times. Although the R2-Choo-Choo was a little OTT :lol:

Very sexy :shock: I love seeing the 'what could have been.'I guess if they were produced, then nobody would admire them at such a high level as we do today.

I really love the look of the Bantha, it's just right for the era and the line. Sometimes when you see customs they're way too detailed and accurate in scale etc... it's actually harder to do something like this, more in keeping with the Kenner design output from the time.

A Bantha would have been great and really a better fit than the dewback, which was only seen for a second in SW
