K-3PO (Finished, with photo)

I'm working on a custom K-3PO hoth protocol droid, I've used a '77 C-3PO (seemed like the obvious choice!) and have painted 'him' with a couple of coats of a slightly thinned white household gloss and when 'tacky'' dusted with talc to take make it a little more matt.
It looks great as so far but any sugestions on detailing other than the red nipple button, I want it to fit in with my vintage display...

Definately stick a picture up when your done, so we can see what it looks like.
I wouldn't even fancy trying it myself, if I did it would end up looking like a 2 year old "special" child had been allowed to paint it! (insert your own funny comment ladies)

Nearly done, though had to strip the head and start that again as after a couple of coats of (thin) paint as I'd lost the eye/mouth details. Working on a General Madine (on Endor) custom also...

iam sure i saw a porn with that guy in the commando uniform!!

as for the k-3p0..... i used my wife nail varnish ( as mine had ran out..**** off..beat you too it !!! :lol: )

as its a thinner consistance it doesnt coat fully and look more convincing as paint can be to heavy a liquid to apply as the k-3po in the movie was quite worn so for the same effect use white nail varnish then use a fine sand paper and lightly rub over the torso to give a worn look to it...

the one you did mate does look good, but it looks new and the one in the film looks abused !!

ok guys just had a thought of a few of the characters from the movies (vintage only if youve got any ideas)....but heres what i may have a go at making next ..

ive done a bit of hunting around and i might make a wampa next!! anyone got any handy links which may come in usefull ??..ive tracked down a few items that i'd need, but just need a few photos to work from .. 8)

I guess it's one of the easier customs to do. The paint on the K-3PO is still a bit tacky, I'll dust it with talc to make it more matt.

What i really want is a green Hammerhead, rather than painting one, any ideas on whether a soaking in chemicals/bleaches could lighten one?
