Congrats Jez- awesome looking collection! How long have you been putting these together for? Good luck on the moc hunt- are you going for any figure on any card or sticking to sw on sw esb on esb etc?
What's your grail moc then dude? When I started I wanted a potf Luke stormtrooper....

You never forget your first love!!

I Started collecting in 1980 for 5 years, first figures were naturally Han & Luke. I still remember so much about then, where i was when i bought, Madine, Commando, Wampa, who bought me 4Lom what friends had certain ships etc etc. How i felt great when i was the first kid in school with a Gammy Guard, nuff respect.
I was reading Joe's site about Tri Logos and the Hybrids, it makes perfect sense to me that; as a kid, my friends and i thought that Hammerhead, Bespin Guard and Powerdroid were all "Really rare!" I remember being dead chuffed when i found H'Head and Powerdroid in Woolworths.

I lost interested in the figures when i discovered skateboarding and girls. Regrettably i sold all but 2 of my figures.
I have remained a huge fan since childhood, when i met my wife she had a life size Darth cardboard cut out in her house. When we had boy and girl twins we were tempted to call them Luke & Leia! My young lad got me into collecting again, he is more obsessive than me! We began in May 2010.

At the moment i'm just buying MOCs which take my fancy or i think are reasonable value for money. I'm still on the hunt for beaters or better for my lad to put in his own Rebel Transport, ( he was heartbroken when the dog ate his Obi Wan and chewed vaders cape!)

I love the Biker Scouts, i think they look cool as f##k but the military man in me knows that tactically they were pr##ks, i mean who wears and outfit like that in the forest!

I'd be chuffed to get hold of Luke (Farmboy), Han, Hammerhead and Darth. To get some Star Wars cards would be great.

Grail? Either Luke or Han, right now, as that's where it all began for me.

Your comment above made me smile. Funny how you and your friends thought the Bespin Security Guard being really rare lol - when I was collecting both Bespin Guards were pegwarmers - literally hundreds about where I lived. First saw Hammerhead in Tesco's of all places!! Only saw Powerdroid twice in about 6 years when I collected as a kid he was kinda hard to find.
I was the first kid at my school to source a Yoda, everyone who collected Star Wars (lots of kids) were dead jealous, until a teacher confiscated it because it was causing too much distraction during her lesson Luckily she let me have it back at the end of the school day, needless to say I never took Yoda to school again

This is one of the best displayed collections I have ever seen - apart from our American chums who have enough real estate to have 'man caves' - it is so crisp and I love the way that you have set everything out

Youre not the only one having to take a break from collecting mate, some days I feel like there should be some sort of nicorette patch for collectors trying to take a break or give up!

30 years in the making (3.5 years for the most of it), but i'm well happy with this lot

I need to replace the repro VC Jawa with the real deal and swop the A Wing Pilot Endor blaster for a black one but and the Luke Stormtrooper blaster for the real one apart from that i'm well chuffed.

I've commented before but I just can't stop looking at your collection Jez, it's fantastic. I think what makes it even better is how you have displayed it. It shows each piece off nicely. Love it!! Make sure you update when you get your Luke X-Wing Pilot it there.

Ive justed checked out the collection for the first time in 3 months as i'm away with work so i thought i'd have a reminisce :lol: . I just had a great time chatting to my son on the phone for 30 minutes, halfway through the conversation he decided that he should talk me through them. It was a relief to know that my wife has been keeping the curtains closed in the room the collection is in, good girl.

I've just realised that i need to update it with my Luke Stormie MOC and whatever stunner i'm gonna treat myself to when i get home!!

Nice to see you again collection, see you in the flesh/plastic in 4.5 weeks!

The multi shelf cabinet is a home modification (not by me).
Yes Mumbo it was great to see it again when I returned, second to seeing my wife & kids & dog he quickly adds!
I still love going to view it and having a quick tinker (not a euphemism)
