Hello all,

On a recent trip to my parent's house I found all my old star wars stuff neatly piled up ready to be sold on a local car boot sale. I believe that some of the stuff is too good to go to a car boot sale. The figures are just run of the mill main characters and the vehicles/ships are the popular ones but one item, a tin is to the best of my knowledge is the only one in the world.
The figures are placed in age related groups on the photos starting at 1977 apart from an ewok that I can't name and doesn't have a date on the leg. The vehicles are aged from 1977 onwards.
The tin is a handmade sample that was sent to America I think to get approval for the design. The design was accepted but they wanted certain things changing before production could begin, which are listed in red ink on the tag that is attached to the tin. I know that tins or trunks as they are called in USA are probably not worth much but as this is a one off it might fetch a bit more. The sheet of tin plate is another design that was produced; I have 2 of these sheets that were never cut and made into tins. The figure is just there for scale.

Any help in valuing my collection will be very much appreciated

The pictures will follow as soon as i figure out how to put them on here!

I think this link might work to the photos.

Not that I know a thing about the tins, but sounds like you may have a nice item there & IMHO any star wars toy collection is to good for the car boot.

You will have to make your photobucket album public as it is listed as private (log in required) on the link you have put up.

I am sure some of the guys who are more in the know about the tins will be along shorty to help you out & Welcome to the forum.

Far too good for a car boot sale IMO. I won't give you any prices as there are others on here who will are far more knowledgeable than me.

Glad you saved it in time, do a bit of research on ebay regarding prices would be my suggestion. Good luck

The AT AT and Millenium Falcon are worth £40-50 each I would say. The AT AT has it original chin guns by the looks of it. Falcon looks complete. You have the training ball.

You also have a few last 17 figs although these are largely incomplete. Paploo, Warok and Romba are ther. These will get you somewhere between £5 and £10 each.

You have a snap cape for a Luke Jedi Figure which is probably worth £5 on its own.

It looks like you have some kind of preproduction images from the printing process of the 1980's Space Trunk. I would be interested in these. If you are looking to sell.

AT ST Scout Walker with box maybe £15.

Palitoy boxed Tauntaun maybe £15-20.

Jabba the Hutt Playset - £25

Max Rebo Band - £30-35

One man sail skiff - £12

MTV 7 - £5-10

Speeder Bike - £15

Hope this is of some help to you. All in all £200+ worth of stuff if sold individually. Definitely too good for a car boot! I will sending you a Private message regarding the Trunk box and tin prints.

Hello all,

Firstly can i thank all who took the time to post a reply. And can appologise for my slow reponse but i have been away with work commitments.

Your info has certinaly gave me a lot to think about. If i decide to sell any of the items i will give people on here first refusal as i think it only right that the stuff goes to genuin fans and not some random on ebay wishing to make a profit selling it on.

Once again many thanks.

Hey mate,

Here's one of those space trunks selling on ebay. Might be a good reference for you.

Thats a very nice collection there, looks like you were a true star wars fan.

i wouldnt be surprised if people are cautious about sales from a newbie though. make sure that all sales are done via an ebay goods invoice guys please.

this isnt a dig against you at all but i see that a a knowledgable collectors lot and a carboot sale wouldnt make sense to me.

hope all goes well with the sales.
