Which is worse - turning up early or being late.

I can't stand doing things last minute whereas my Mrs is always bloody late for everything. Stresses me right out. An example of this would be our honeymoon -

We booked tickets in advance for the Eurostar from Manchester to Paris. So we're all packed up ready to go but then she finds a million other things to do, hair, makeup, putting the washing on! By this time we're cutting it fine. Her brother picks us up. Both he and my wife claim to know the way to the station. Next thing we're lost, driving around the centre of Manchester completely ****ing lost. I could see we had 5 minutes to get out of the car and onto the train and we're still lost. Bloody fuming by this time. We get there. Train has gone and we had to buy two more tickets for about £150 :x

If we had only left home 10 minutes earlier we would have got there early and wouldn't have ended up £150 out of pocket. This is my case in point for leaving time to get places.

Yes I am like John Cleese in Clockwork

Same situation. When I finished the Edinburgh marathon I had to wait for the missus and run for the train - which we missed. Well pissed off. Jumped on the next though and didn't pay

if its within walking distance so i can time it perfectly i am usually on time or a couple of minutes early.
Never late if i can help it .

If in your situation i would make sure i leave with excess time to not miss my connection.

if ever i visit my parents in lincolnshire and say am catching the 12.00 train from kings cross, I make sure I leave my place by 10 which would easily get me to kings cross by 11.15 with 45 minutes to spare rather than leave 30 minutes later and then its a bit of a rush which i hate.

I think ALL women are the same. I'm normally early, my missus always always always faffs about and takes forever to get ready. Even if we are just popping out to the shop she'll faff about asking does she need to bring this or that and where is this. It's the ****ing shop 2 mins drive away!

That's what I would do. Preferable to arrive very early and hang around for half hour. When we flew to Berlin last month it ended up being a last minute thing. We somehow ended up jumping the queue at check-in which was lucky or the gate would have closed. Just don't get the last minute mentality.

The wife argues that arriving late is less rude than being early. What?! How?!

I think I need to be defensive

Take a look, is there an imperfection or an annoying trait?
Do not forget the hand of fate.
But for the intervention of cherub, seraphim and Cupid,
You would now stand alone, incomplete and feeling stupid,
That look, that smile the things that only you know,
About the only one that can set your mind at ease, lift your spirit when you are low.
I am first to state my case, for my wonderful wife,
My one true friend, my rock of life.
Friends may come, friends may go,
There is one constant this I know.
No matter what mistakes I've made,
No matter what meagre hands ive been played,
She is always there, right by my side,
Never shirks or turns to hide.
Lest we forget, to take a moment to remember,
The wife, the mother, the friend our most fervent defender.
I know for this post I will dearly pay, be that foul or fair.
In all honesty, in what counts, I'm a lucky man ....so do I care?

Do your worst

For the record I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late

'the best thing I ever saw .. was a man who loved his wife' - Paul McCartney wrote that :)

They drive us mad but it's all good really

I dont think I ever heard anyone say that before,.

Next time its your anniversary, send her a card in the post to arrive a day late and see if she still thinks it :)

You guys still haven't realised that women don't like it when you cum too early?
