Interesting I wonder what the hell that set up is on the right firefighters helmet possibly? I always thought Vaders helmet had a more than passing resemblance to the original stormtroopers get up, the ww1 german m17 helmet and gas mask.
It says further down on the link they were both firefighters smoke helmets
But in truth I think if you look at the Ralph Mq concept drawings the Vader helmet etc originated there, but it's always good to look at other spins can see with the pic you've posted the similarity again.
If you look at how the Vader helmet evolved over the films it became sharper and cleaner cut, the original ANH ones were the best to me though,
