Had a email saying they haven't received their item. I have 100% feedback always post ASAP never had this happen before. I sent a copy of the proof of postage to the seller should I contact eBay as well don't want to get a negative feedback. Thanks

always send recorded delivery in future its a extra couple of quid here and there sure but it saves your ass.

ebay will probably side with the buyer if you only have pop

hope the item turns up for you. has the buyer got good feedback?

Only thing you can do right now if offer to refund their money - eBay don't accept proof of purchase - just tracking numbers - if you act quickly and explain everything to the buyer then hopefully you will avoid a negative. Also ask the buyer to let you know if it arrives - most don't bother even if it does but occasionally someone is honest

Unfortunately eBay don't accept pop as its not proof it was delivered, you will have to refund buyer and claim loss from royal mail :(

Hi guys thanks for the info. Ok will do that :( claiming back from RM going to be a bitch. Yer the guy has 100% strange one.

Assuming its something of a lower value RM should pay out with minimum fuss, they only dig their heels in for things over say £50

Exactly right, generic payout below £30 normally, over that and they try their luck sometimes, you should be ok though.

Thanks guys was 8.50 so not a massive amount have changed everything to recorded now. Have contacted the buyer still no response though have contacted e-mail and paypal to let them know i'm not to blame its RM.

Funnily enough the only things that tend to go "missing" is when it's a low value item. Anything under a tenner I use to pop a first class stamp on it, but then I noticed people would send me messages with, 'I've not received anything yet, can I have the tracking.' Knowing I wouldn't have a tracking number. Now I send everything sign for.

He has responded now saying been down to the PO still nothing :( were you able to get your money back

Too many wankers on ebay who as soon as they see there is no tracking put in an item not received claim and get their item for free.

Yep you HAVE to send recorded on eBay. Even if people refuse to pay the extra, cover it yourself in future. Not worth the risk over a quid.

You'll need to fill in a claim form online and send that along with your original PO, receipt and proof of the sale then wait a month for a cheque, 2 if its overseas.

Not quite, I'm afraid.

I sold one of the Lego Star Wars DVDs that came with an exclusive minifigure. It was on my business account as it was a business sale (bought it 18 months before for about £6). Sold it for £20. It got "lost". I claimed via the Royal Mail for about £9 (factored in various costs). Wasn't even claiming for my lost profit. The cock wanking ****ing pricks then demanded a purchase receipt for the item!!
I told them that for £9 it was not worth my time digging through my filed receipts for an item I purchased about 18 months ago. I also suggested it they had a problem with my claim they could buy me a replacement or, better still, send me the price of the lowest replacement they could find. Their answer: 6 X 1st Class stamps as compensation as I could not prove the cost of the loss. ****ing dickheads. And that's me being nice.

Oh and now I have another one: sent something by International signed for to Czech Republic. Delivery was attempted 4 times but no answer each time. As such, it's on it's way back to the UK. He's opened a case for non-receipt. Who do you think eBay well side with? Wrong. They'll go with the buyer as I cannot prove he received it. I'm not even joking.

I had that from a chap in Spain - bought 13GBP worth of stands, paid 10GBP for tracked postage and then didn't bother to collect - opened a case and got his money back - the stands eventually came back to me - but lost the following

eBay fee - 2.30
PayPal fee - 0.92
Postage and Packaing - 10.00

So the whole exercise cost me 13.22GBP cos the ****tard couldn't be bothered to collect - eBay/PayPal didn't care as they got their share !

It's a ****ing disgrace, mate. eBay need to stop being such a prick of a company and start realising that the sellers are as important to them as the buyers. Arguably, more so as it's only ever the seller that pays them fees!

I did see something last week that Ebay's latest profit figures were down substantially, so it may well be that people are finally getting tired of being ****ed over by scammers and cunts while ebay sit back and do nothing.

People are doing what i ten to do, use ebay to advertise and not to sell, do the deal off ebay ect. i put stuff on there at higher prices, get a contact and organise a proper deal off ebay, so much easier, sold all my ipads on there in a flash, cash i hand, just used my free listings to advertise them.

i wont sell anything high value on there, if i did i certainly would not use royal mail as my cover for insurance!
