Has anyone noticed this 45 back Boba and whether it is a Toni? Ebay Item no. 141379740367

It seems to have a deep bubble and shorter distance between the stems?

Looks like a Toni to me.

Guys,

Just been sorting through a stack of cardbacks tonight and came across this C3PO. Its a 45 back and shop bought (Tescos pricetag) and it had a DS bubble, as can be seen by the tearing. Ive gone over this a few times and it looks to me as though the registration error / print allignment on the card is also off on this.

What do you mean 'ʌ' ?, I had never seen this.
What does mean into Toni bubbles and Cards?.

I've read only in the last two days that he was buying fake blisters presumably right off the bat, despite there being no fake blisters for sale in the later 1990s.

Original unused blisters that came with the unused cards as far as we know (nobody knows anything for 100% sure as he's never admitted it)

It's really odd how information evolves in the age of Facebook. But there are genuinely people (some of whom should know better too), pushing the notion than Tonis were always fake blisters.

One guy even challenged me by pm on that point - asked me to prove it.

I agree that we'll never know for certain what went on, but we do know that he bought uncirculated figures, cardbacks and blisters.

The most obvious point to make against this new belief, is that I doubt he'd have been fooling anyone for long with fake blisters in the mid(ish) 1990s. Just can't seem them getting his scam much further down the road than 6 months or so.

There were already a handful of us paying attention to the blisters customizers were using, and those things looked terrible.

That's exactly what I said to the one guy (Thorsten from 9 holy grails in a row) when he tried to push that argument.

It's like they don't understand that the one thing this guy had going for him, was that all he needed to do was apply heat to seal those figures onto cards.

I heard conversation about some of them perhaps being Action Force blisters - (assembled in the same factory) - but from my cursory SW and AF knowledge that isn't true. Or if it is they were identical.

Hi folks,

Surprised and happy to see this thread still getting posts and thought I'd take the opportunity to draw on some of the expertise here. Bought a 65D At-At Driver last year despite knowing about this whole debacle, but figured the odds were good given the low pop of this figure known to be TTs. Some pretty heavy creasing on the card too, certainly doesn't look like your average TT. Appears to be some evidence of machine pressing on the back of the bubble, and the bubble is misaligned to the bottom of the card which seems unlikely for Toni.

Been through Mr Palitoy's site a few times and honestly still none the wiser. Anyone able to comment on this one?

I guess what had me most concerned is that I can't seem to find any examples of a double stem bubble on a 65 Back. Plenty on ESB cards, but some of them have been confirmed as dodgy.

Is there a list on here or a link to anywhere with a list of the figures potentially affected ? i've had a look at some of the threads on it but there are so many pages on some of them, thanks

All of your cards fall into the list.

And the general condition (which is excellent) and bubble placements (which are nice and central) which are all tells for Toy Toni, I would say that they all are TT I'm afraid.
There is a good and growing market for these nowadays, so all is not lost, you will make a good profit out of them compared to what you paid in the 00's.

I would be interested in the Leia Bespin if you decide to sell.

You have the correct link to post them for sale, remember you will need to have a price on the post.

As for value, being TT's they will be very difficult to accurately value.
The best place is eBay and Facebook (if you are on it) and research SOLD prices.
Again the interest in them maybe limited as they are TT's, but there are collectors out there, just not many.

When you have a price in mind for Leia Bespin would you kindly let me know as I am interested in her.
