If you're into old consoles and games...

awsome.

only probs with emulators ,well the snes and megadrive is saving your progress

It can be more of help than a problem. Some of the emulators let you save live action snapshots (and plenty of them) this lets you pause the game at any point and save, when you load you carry on from this point. This has helped me clear a few games that I was having trouble with. Pros and cons to this system but at least is makes saving possible.

For me these emulators are more pick up and play so saving can be overlooked as if I want to put some time and effort into a game the PS3 gets switched on :D

Mame is fantastic, all those arcade games that where hard to find all on your PC (Umpteen versions of Street fighter 2)
Mariokart and Sensi, what more could you need. The original Mariokart battle is still my favoutite battle mode (viva la feather), and there is nothing more satisfying than a 40 yard curler in Sensible soccer or that rarity that is a diving header goal :D :D :D

The biggest downfall for me is the controller, I have seen USB Snes controllers online in the US and USB adapters for original controllers, one day I will get round to ordering a couple.
