Please check out my new website :) I have put Star Wars collecting on hold for the time being, and have started putting together a set of "MIB" consoles from the 80s and 90s. As with here I have also set up a quick website and forum to hopefully help myself and others collect them. I was surprised to find that there are very few forums, especially UK ones, that discuss old games consoles. As far as I could find there were no sites at all that listed bundle variations, had photos of boxes etc. So here it is:

http://www.vintageconsoles.co.uk/

The main site looks more like a shop, but is really just somewhere to host the forum and list photos etc for any I end up selling on Ebay. If you are interested and fancy signing up to the forum, that would be great. No naked photos just yet though please

Edd, dunno if you are interested in buying any of these but i have a few odds and sods gathering dust in the loft. I have an Acetronic Mouse 1000 with power leads, 2 pads and 2 games which are soccer and invaders. A Texas Instuments TI - 99/4A with power leads, 2 pads and munchman. They are both boxed. I also have an Atari 1020 color printer all fully boxed and baggied up items inside including the power adapter, paper roll, color pens, datacord, user manual, warrenty and joystick sketch sotfware. And finally i know there is a Speccy 48k squidgy keyboard, a Speccy 48+, a 2nd gen Commodore 64 and an Amstrad CPC 464 all with a ton of games. I started collecting vintage consoles and computers a while back but gave up. They have been up there for yonks and altho' i can't guarantee that they are all in working condition ( they were when i last plumbed them in ) i can guarantee a good deal if you are interested in any of them :)

Nice site Edd. I've been toying with the idea of getting a SNES for a while. I miss platform games. :(

Thanks guys, only got a couple so far but it's a bit like collecting boxed vehicles apart from you're usually paying less than the original retail cost rather than 100 times more

I'm only really going for brand new or like new consoles, as knackered old ones are ten a penny. But mint ones can be worth a fortune. AFA also grade them!

nice, need to get some neo geo in there, i usually go from collecting star wars to neo geo and vica versa, cant afford both :)

nice job edd.
retro gaming is so much better than modern stuff.
got a load of megadrive 1 and 2 stuff, near mint boxed gameboy, game gear, snes and xbox 1 stuff.
good luck with the site mate.
if you see a pic with a birds tit being held next an old master system...................share!

Hey Edd,

Nice site man. I just joined it. I loved some of those old consoles. Now and then I go back to Mario 64 and start it from the beginning and collect all the stars I possibly can. I think the most I have found is like 107.

Regards

Grant.

Great idea Edd, I was looking for a retro consoles forum a couple of years back as I was right in to them, sadly there was nothing about back then so good going!, I had -

3-Do
CD-32
Atari 800Xl with disk drive & US doubler chip
Atari 520 st - external drive one
Atari Jaguar (with AVP)
2600 X 3 - woody/darth vader & wedge
S'NES
N64 in purple with expansion pack (rouge squadron)
Game cube (rouge squadron 2 & 3)
PS 1 & 2

Can't beat a bit of retro gaming & I still love giving rouge squadron a good thrashing on the N64, total quality, though 3 kids = no where near enough time for serious gaming sessions :|

Joined up last night Edd. Absolutely love retro gaming. Always buying Snes's and Sega's on ebay, playing witht them for a couple of months and then selling them on. Cant beat it!!

i just use emulators ,love any old game you could shove a ten pence in really wonderboy ,double dragon ,pang ,space harrier list goes on ,on mega drive i loved flash back sensible soccer and cannon foder ,snes has to be origanal mario kart .goldeneye on n 64 and zelda .had a c64 as a kid .

i have two mega drives with some games kicking bout if your interested

I dont know if its a techical error but i posted a reply to one of the posts over 24 hours ago now and was told i have to wait for the post to be authorized, yet seen Edd on the site several times since and still my post is not up.

I have still got my SNES and zx spectrum, gave away my N64 and butchered my Atari ST trying to mod it :(

Its nice to have them but they all became redundant once I got a couple of decent emulators. Now I can swap between systems in a flash and even play the arcade classics :D

Good luck with the site, hope you get some rapid traffic :)
