I wonder what I will find at the local car boot sale this year?

Yes me too, I didn't honestly think we would be back at the booties this year, and not sure if they will be very busy & depends if people will be willing to risk their health just to get rid of stuff they no longer want. Saying that I will go to just one on a Sunday and maybe one on Saturday but not the 6 a week anymore for a bit.

Fair enough, will go on Sunday, could go to the Thursday one as on late shift and work is around the corner but not sure wanting to risk it.

Call me rude and grouchy maybe, getting into peoples personal space in any context regardless of climate is in my books not right. Start breathing down my neck and brushing behind in such close proximity enough to even raise the eye brow of the other half, expect an elbow in the gut or nasal area. The lesson is then permanently installed into ones brain, on the tube though heh no one can help the proximity so its understandable.

Bootsales, I think a lot of people will be holding them if they do go ahead this year. I hope

We will see.

But I did go yesterday to the one locally that I said I was not going to go to....It was weird, everyone queued up in a nice social distancing way, we were all explained to whilst in the queue that there was a one way system, to keep 2 meters apart and be patient otherwise this would not work. However the organizers only gave these instructions out in English, and I live in the heart of agricultural workers from the EU capital, Lincolnshire, and they love a car boot sale. This message was either mis-understood or ignored once they passed through the entrance. People were getting annoyed at the total lack of keeping distance from certain people and after 15 minutes I left. I realize we are all going to have to live with this until either a cure or vaccine is available, and this is my one of my jobs, so I need to keep stock incoming, but not sure how it going to work when some ignore the rules. I believe we will get a second wave, as most have been in lockdown for months and still hundreds die each day, so logic dictates that with more people mixing that rate will rise again. So I guess I am pleased that rain dance worked last night

TBH mate I wouldn't be bothered if it rained can't see the rules working at the one I go to.

I think there is a case here where normal sane thinking people will continue to social distance and try to keep safe, but there are unfortunatelynin life always those that don't think the rules apply to them, they will always have an excuse for why they are different, but it comes down to selfishness and i will do what I want and justifynit to myself in some way
absolotely agree that there
will be a second wave and I sure as hell I will continue to protect myself and my family as best I can.
Human nature is a very weird thing and exasperating at times but all you can do is what you believe is the right thing.
I have a neighbour who is a mobile hairdresser who throughout lock down has loaded his car daily with haircutting equipment in black bags, disappeared for 4 or 5 hours a day then returned and unloaded his black bags, bloody obvious he has ignored everything, but has a Union Jack and a rainbow in his window! Made even worse for me as my wife and daughter work in the NHS.
We will get through this though and those self same people that are doing the right thing can at least sleep with a clean concscience and to those that don't, I'm a great believer in what goes around comes around

Keep safe everyone :D

I have not been again this week to the one I went to Monday, and not going tomorrow either, still getting through the three full sheds of stuff so no need to rush back yet.

Unfortunately the world is full of idiots who ooze ignorance and have no respect for themselves or others, it's a fact of life and sadly something that will never go away, we have our fair share around our way!!!
