I wonder what I will find at the local car boot sale this year?

I live in Portsmouth and have ventured over to ford a couple of times and I think its a savage boot sale every car that opens its boot has twenty people in it before they can get a table out.

That was my experience of it.

The one in York is like that like vultures they are.

You're not wrong. My current pet hate is record dealers and computer games guys. That said I met a nice bloke there the other week who was happy to chat and share some knowledge. Most of the game guys are bottom feeding lowlife, though. I'm sure the games they're after have more grey matter than them. Don't get me wrong, if I saw someone drive past with a boot full of vintage I'd be following that car and as soon as the driver door was open I'd say "I'll take it", but come on, PS1 and Nintendo 3DS games are not exactly rare! Chill out and wait until the poor sods have unloaded. When I used to do boot sales regularly in my 20s I made a point of telling people to get out of the boot and anyone who asked for anything got ignored. It went on sale when it made it to the pasting table and not before. I refuse to ask for stuff. I'll wait in front of the table and see what I can see. Sure, if I see something about to come out I'll ask to have a look at it (no point in being too patient as you're on a loser there!) but I won't be hasslin folk. Principles before profit.

That said, Ford isn't as bad as the bootsales I used to do around Chester. They were like the monkeys at Longleat Safari Park, there!

Ford is brilliant for hunting. Had some great SW finds there. Always small but been really happy with things. My R5-D4 in Palitoy baggie was the best find I had and that cost me 2 quid.

Wife's milking the foot for all it's worth  Doing my bloody head in but I'm trying to be nice, poor girl.

Stormtrooper and Royal guard £4 each, Baggie £6 and the pro droid £10.

Fair enough, me too always go whatever the weather did my mate good a couple of years ago, got the full set of James bond vehicles with magazines the guy wanted 2.50 each for them and £10 each for the 3 special ones you needed to send off for he offered the seller £200 the guy snapped his hand off as the organiser was getting ready to tell everyone to leave.

Not the best day for me either but not a complete disaster. Picked up all the top row for £3 proper beaters and the ben Kenobi £5. I was to late again and I saw a fellow collector pick up two complete mini rigs for £3

In that case me and my brother picked up a load of complete loose figures at a show a few months back.

I think there where 82 total some duplicates.

£2:50 but took me about 5 mins of keep looking at back page to convince myself not a Area 51

2.50 nice one Mark :), purchases from today:

Tie fighter and figure was £22, was £25 but knocked him down. The crashed Star Destroyer was a freebie, Luke Cost £2, the Hoth Canon was £10 but as it was near the end of the day did it for £5, also got a 8D8 and stand for £1 he was missing a leg but had a real bad beater so it is now complete, been tidying up and think have put him in a box will post a picture of him later. The round stand is now been used by a Stormtrooper in my imperial army.
