As these factories were located all over the place but seemingly using a master set of Kenner produced molds for each figure they erased or adapted the COO according to what country they were being made in, I guess a completely erased COO (or scarred) is just a lazy way of removing another countries markings?

Perhaps as the cards also had COO markings the COO's on the figures were just wiped off instead of actually being changed.

Hopefully that makes sense, as far as I know thats the reason, but I will probably be told its not :lol:
