Sounds like he dropped a bollock by buying your DT Luke (prob didn't read the description) and then tried to use PP to get his money back, or to get his money AND keep the figure.

I think the guys are spot on when they say post a link on RS. If he's gonna try and **** you over why should you not do the same to him!?

Well the case has now bee elevated so they can make their final decision. I might wait until they make a decision before I name and shame him on rs.
Even if it goes in my favour I will still probably name and shame him on rs.

I think considering your updated listing says it wasn't all original and you went into detail with a potential buyer and showed the Q+A you are pretty much in the right on this. The guy had time to read it before and after bidding yet he still sent to AFA and grabbed a refund without resolving it amicably with you first, IMO he needs a bit of a wake up call yes but do it in a nice way- explain everything as you did here and don't get into a slagging match or you will get kicked off of RS again lol

Gotta be smart over there- it'll hurt him however its worded but play it tactfully and you will get a lot further IMO.

Deffo out of order to mess with your paypal account when I am sure if he had raised a concern and asked for a refund you would probably have granted him it.

Thats the main reason I am really pissed. If he had of gone through the correct channels and send me a message saying what he had done I'm sure we could of come to some arrangement. But the first contact he made was filing a 'not as described' issue with paypal and demanding a full refund.
So he well and truly burned all bridges with that attitude!

As for posting this on rs: I am still having trouble getting my login details from them....... So I was kind of hoping (as this is kind of a time sensative issue) one of you kind hearted individuals could start a topic on there and just post a link to this entire post. That way it is fair and people on rs can make up their own minds.

If he is bullshitting you / Paypal on that then that's another thing thats not on, AFA is a helpful tool for buyers when they want to recover their money on fake goods but surely they wouldn't support someone getting a refund on a piece they should know was fake...

I can't find the initial complaint he filed as I deleted it.
He didn't actually say he sent it to afa. He said when he sent it to be graded (didn't say where) that the inner sabre was the wrong length. And could not be verified as original. So I am assuming it is afa (does Canada have a grading system I don't know about?)
But that even if he didn't read the description he could see the sabre length on the auction picture. So that argument is allso flawed!

There's no Canadian grading Authority and I highly doubt he sent it to AFA- probably just realised after he got it that it wasn't what he wanted and used the grading company line to secure his refund..

Paypal haven't 'given' him the money yet. But they have 'taken' it from me. They are 'holding' it until they have reached their own conclusions. So it will either be put back in my account (meaning I can use paypal again) or go straight to the buyer (meaning I will allso probably not get the figure back).
I hope they don't have the same 'buyer is ALLWAYS right' that eBay has.

It's a bit worrying now because that ebay safety cushion that needed a buyer to send an item back (with tracking) before he got a refund can now be easily bypassed by going straight to paypal. This has grave implications for many many sellers of high value items.

What an complete Dick!!! The auction is crystal clear, and his complaint that the inner saber isn't long enough is total copout because he probably F'ked up by not reading the description.....Either that or he thought it might be real so chanced it like you said...Either way you can clearly see in the photo that the inner saber is shorter than the out saber so he's grasping at straws trying to pull that one!

If you have a credit/debit card or bank account attached to your paypal account....remove them. At least for the time being anyway until its all sorted out. I don't know for sure but if it gets granted in his favour paypal may be able to recover their funds from you through them....

I hope it all gets sorted for you Twofoot :wink:

Why would he try and get it graded if he 'knew' it was a repro sabre?
Surly a repro part is still repro nomatter how long it is?
He is just digging himself deeper into a hole!!

You should really post that pic on RS. Made me laugh like hell!!
