One of the rarest STAR WARS figure on the planet is now for sale - an ultra rare item that makes any Vlix or carded Vinyl cape Jawa and even most UZAY Moc's look common:

I am happy to answer any questions about the figure.

For anyone worried about the authenticity of this item. Rest assured that it is item 100% legit, and that Emuhun is a seller that can be trusted with bigger money deals. I've dealt with him dozens of times over the past decade + and have always been more than happy with the transaction.
To the best of my knowledge, there are 4 carded examples known and 3 cardbacks known of this figure.

Cheers and happy bidding.
Joe

Peter, I'd suggest offering it at $5000 or best offer, and see what kind of interest you get when it comes to offers from people. It's a great piece, and IMO worth the asking price, but because of the niche market of bootleg collectors and Vader focus collectors that would be prime buyers for it is a finite market, switch the auction up to a 5k bin or best offer and see what happens...... It can't hurt.

Cheers
Joe

I'm sure it's a great piece and the seller is legit, but maybe come on here and introduce yourself first, give a bit of background to the item (considering the value, provenance etc) before adding a link to an external auction site... :? Just my two cent..

I do agree that such an epic piece is a big bomb to drop for someones first post, that's actually why I chimed into the thread, as Peter's gotten many thousands of dollars of my money thru the years and has never disappointed when it came to legitimacy and quality of product. As for provenance for the piece, it's an early 80s piece, part of a set of 2 carded figures that were released, this Vader and a Yoda which is commonly referred to as a "pig nose" Yoda.As for how I determined authenticity(other than the long term reputation of the seller); the shape, thickness, and striations of the bubble plastic are consistent with all other known examples, as is the consistency of the printed cardback and thickness of the cardstock used. I have nothing to gain or lose from this piece selling, just offering my opinion of the piece, and hoping that it goes to a home that'll appreciate it.

Cheers
Joe

It looks so raw looking like some kind of 1st carded draft for the large doll version? Would someone fake such a ugly piece or is that the goal

Its a bootleg.

Many of them are made because of lack of access or affordability of licensed items.

Some are a reflection of the political landscape of the time. For example- behind the Iron Curtain.

Some are rarer than almost anything licenced with only 1 example in the world.

Hello,

Joe, thanks for your words!

Maybe i made a mistake to post a direct link to the auction - sorry for that if this is the case. On another board someone advised me to come here to post the auction in the "ebay listings" topic, what i thought is the purpose of.

Sorry, its true that i didn't really check the terms / rules, and i didn't introduce myself before.

Good luck on the sale. Don't worry about the link we knew about it anyway. What others have mentioned is it would have been nice to introduce yourself first and maybe talk about the piece a little. Which you can still do of course :D

You can post links to your auctions here...this is not RS. Introducing yourself is best and offering it for sale in our sales thread first before ebay is best to do.

Amazing, I never knew anything like this existed. You'd think this would be a must for anyone with a Vader focus as its very unique to say the least :)
