auction won on sunday night....... buyer still hasnt paid! how long do i have to wait? its wrapped up and ready to go. i sometimes take a couple of days too pay, due to family stuff but i this buyers taking the piss. ive asked if they still want it and no reply

I always pay straight away, but i give people a week before i start harassing them. . I normally put in my listings that payment is to be recieved in 5 days. always works or at least prompts people to ask me if i wouldnt mind waiting a bit longer. as long as i'm kept in the loop it's all cool

Because i sell a lot this happens to me a lot. I get about 6 non payers a month. I usually open a case after 10 days. I don't bother contacting them at any point but as a one off sale it's probably worth either resending payment details or dropping them a message after 48 hours asking them when they plan to pay as you'd like to get 'it' sent off as soon as possible.

I would leave it up to 5 days before opening a case unless agreed otherwise. Yes I would agree in contacting the buyer after 48 and 96 hours of the auction ending to politely ask for a payment :)

I tend to wait at least 5-7 days before getting too worries. Drop the buyer a quick message and ask when they will be able o send payment across - I find it pays to be polite and not open up non-payment cases too early as it only pisses buyers off and is likely to be reflected in your feedback

A buyer you opened a case against cannot leave you negative feedback. Pretty sure.

They can if you receive payment :D

I didn't think they could. I certainly don't think they'd be able to comment on you opening a case against them. Another example of ebay protecting the buyers and allowing them to basically do as they please.

If you open a non-payment case and they don't pay then they can not leave feedback (and you can't either unless you do it before the case is closed) - however if they do pay then then can leave feedback - you are right, I would think that if they commented on the case then it could be removed but there is nothing to stop them leaving spiteful feedback (or low stars) if they just made basic comments
