Can any 1 help me i would like to know how hard it would be and to what cost to collect all 62 POTF coins i have got 16 so far mainly all CAT 1 would i be wasting my time and money trying to collect the rest

I'm sure this is a really dim question, but why are there more POTF coins than there were MOC POTF figures?

i think alot of them you only got by sending of the pops from the back of the card and they where sent out randomly but going by that price guide for the coins i dont think i will be collecting them any more

yea a lot of the rarer ones were mail away only, they go for big money. i used to collect them and some of them like cantine creatures, sail barge, greedo go for minimum Ã'£300 - Ã'£400, thats kinda why i stopped as well. plus you can also go the root of unproduced and prototypes so yea you could end up spending thousands!!!!

it sounds a very expensive path to follow i think i will just collect the lower grade ones to go with my loose figures

75% are easy, but you will get to a stage when its harder than Jabba at the national cheer leading finals!!!!! Then it gets expensive!

In total there are sixty three POTF coins, There are also other variations, which include:
prototypes. These have seen coins in gold, bronze and frosted tones.
Error coins. These include Han Solo trench coat coin with 'Hans Solo' rather than 'Han Solo', Sail Skiff coin (which probably is the rarest of the 62) which has Sail Barge rather than Sail Skiff.
There is also a 63rd coin, which shows two hands holding a lightsabre, this coin is extremely rare.

The POTF coins are divided into 6 categories, these are the categories:
CATEGORY I
Coins in category I are the POTF figures, known as the last 17, that were found on cards. Kenner produced these new figures in greater quantities than figures that had previously been released on card, therefore these coins are the easiest to find.
CATEGORY II
Coins in category II are the coins for characters that were issued on POTF cards as well as being released on earlier cards. These coins are less common than in Category I. Two additions to this category are Yak face and Anakin coins; this is due to the rarity of the cards.
CATEGORY III
Coins in category III are common mail-away coins (these were never issued with carded figures). These coins were the ones most likely to be received with the POTF coin mail away offer.
CATEGORY IV
Coins in category IV are tougher mail-way coins to obtain. Not many of these were shipped to consumers; however there is a smaller quantity of these than Category III coins.
CATEGORY V
Coins in category V are extremely rare. Anyone trying to complete the set could spend half their time looking for these. These coins came from Kenner employees, so there are very few in existence.
CATEGORY VI
Coins in category VI are Prototype coins and rare variations. There are very few of these known to exist and therefore they are extremely

Thanks for thats carl how many years of searching did it take you to complete that amazing collection you have

I have been collecting for 12 years & It took me 3 years to complete my coin set, but i was lucky with the coins popping up on ebay often! if you want it enough, then go for it! i wasnt sure if i could do it, but i gave it a shot!

but if the Sail skiff, Greedo, Luke Hoth, Leia Boushh, Leia w R2 pop up then snap them up staight away, as i would say these are the toughest!

cheers carl i have been taking notes of ebay i did see a greedo sell about 6-8 weeks on ebay in america it went for Ã'£227

ebay can be crazy at times most of the times a lot of things over priced but you do pick up a bargin if you study the prices long enough

Have the POTF coin prices settled down now as last year i believe some of them were going for a lot of money, where as a few years ago they were apparently cheaper - so i have read.
