How does a DT saber get an 85?

BTW thejettasetta, I should of course have said that regardless of the fact that it is graded, that is one truly gorgeous figure you have there :D

I haven't yet, but if I ever buy a graded 'loose' (NOT carded) figure (for a reasonable price, of course) I will happily free it from its plastic prison and let it take its rightful place alongside the rest of my loose collection. I'll even photograph the event and post the before and after pictures here for all to enjoy :)

The ONLY graded item I have ever bought (and that was because it was re-acquired by me after having to sell it, to which the buyer promptly graded it and listed it on ebay).

Enjoy.

I am 100% a man of my word. I denounce graded items, so the one time I got one, despite how "valuable" it was, it was immediately busted right out of that stupid case. If I had extra money, I'd buy Iain's acrylic cases for them, but all my others are in Star Cases on my wall, so this one rejoined them in that way.

This is a marketing gimmick. They do look nice cased (carded do anyway - I hate loose cased), but no way do they deserve the crazy markups, as grading is so highly subjective. I can pull out a Chewbacca figure that received the exact same subgrades as mine here (and did so last year on RS), and the difference between them is shocking. Was mine overgraded, or was the Chewbacca undergraded? Who cares? At least one is inaccurate, so it destroys the credibility of all grades in my eyes.

Morning folks, this is not aimed at getting at UKG in any way whatsoever, it is a genuine how the hell do you get an 85 sub with a DT saber?

I personally like my items ungraded. Because I'm selling a big part of my collection I decided to get all my loose DT's graded by UKG. Just so the new owner knows they are legit.
I got some back as 80's some 85's. Is there a big difference between my 80 and 85 subs? Not really...
TBH I think some of the 80's look better IMO. So I guess grading just isn't for me. I know what condition I personally prefer, so someone telling me it is a 80 or an 85 doesn't really matter.
And I have to say, yours looks really nice!!! Looks minty to me. So why not enjoy him like you did before? Still the same minty saber!!!! :D
