Hey, how do i block someone on here so i don't have to see their annoying links to the crap they're selling and their general BS. I'm bitting my tongue as hard as i can but really need to close this barn door if possible.

I THINK you do it through your UCP button at the top. Stick them down as a foe and then I think you don't see their comments any more.

Not sure though, I haven't got anyone on my foes thingy so I'm the wrong person to ask.

I too think that there are a couple of people on here who only seem to be posting to sell their items. There is another user who has some really quality stuff and at some point has obviously put together a good collection. However, their only posts are lists of their items on ebay - no discussion about the items, how they got them or what they have collected in the past.

As annoying as that is and one of the reasons for my post, there were other things that prompted this. It seems that i wasn't the only person too. Since i posted this i have received several PMs expressing relief in knowing that they weren't the only one who was fed up with this "member"/spammer/tool.
Tho, as i said there are other reasons/incidents that got me riled. I personally think there should be a ban on links to outside sales, maybe only for members who have been here less than a year at least. It gets out of hand. Or perhaps we could allow links to outside sales on the condition that a 10% discount is offered to forum members. I think you'll find a lot of them disappear after that anyway. Or we could change the forum name to starwarsgumtree.co.uk.
I certainly think ebay links should be banned completely. Newsflash- I know where to find ebay and how to search for vintage Star Wars! If anyone on here does not know how to search for vintage SW on ebay please PM me and i will walk you through it with a simple tutorial.
But then if i'm the only one this bothers then far be it from me to change things for my benefit. I'll live. :lol:
