Hi, I stumbled across this forum and was hoping there was someone who could help me with some Star Wars memorabilia. A quick bit of background - I'm a bit of a fan of the series and have been since the 80s when I was a kid. My mother is an avid 'auction hunter' and saw a lot come up of star wars stuff a week or so ago, and very kindly bought it for me as a present. Now I like to get my geek on as much as anyone else, but I'm kind of lost with the gear she came back with. A lot of it seems to be recent (dated early 1990s), but tucked in amongst it was a stamp collection from the Jubilee in 1977 so given the date I thought it frugal to check with someone in the know if there is anything to be careful of before I go 'destroying' it.... Most of the stuff is still boxed and mint, much with its original film around it having never been opened. If anyone can help identify what I actually have I would be most grateful, especially as someone has clearly spent a while collecting bits and pieces and even managed to get a lot of it signed. I have linked some pictures below of a few items and uploaded a video to youtube of the whole lot which I will link as well. Again, any information would be most appreciated and apologies if I have posted in the wrong part of the forum, I just have a nagging fear of some Sheldon Cooper type chasing me down for taking something important out of its original packaging :D

Half dozen or so of these statuette things all boxed:

Various sealed vinyl:

Various sealed and/or signed books. The signatures seem to be one of the writers, illustrators etc named in each one:

Various wrapped posters:

The Mighty Google and Ebay Completed Listings will tell you the true worth of these items....

IMO nothing of any great value a lot of modern stuff from the mid 90's
Jabba selling for $100 on the artists site but I'd take that with a hefty pinch of salt
Statuettes selling for $80-100 on Ebay with no bids
Comics not a clue but someone on here has been trying to sell some at £5 an issue

Yeah- unfortunately these are eBay all the time. They are nice pieces and were a collectable when they came out. Some slip under the radar and can be picked up for £15-30 on the statues.

Like already stated- you will see them with £50 BIN, but they don sell.

If only lucasfilm didn't put the Star Wars name on everything and we had quality over quanity, they might have kept their value.

No idea on the signed comics.

Hey thanks so much for the replies. I guess the real value was just to the guy who originally collected the pieces and got things signed. All in all it is a bit of a result as I can now have a good read and look at what I've got and not worry about doing any significant damage. :)

Anyway, thanks again for your comments :)

An excellent outcome - really refreshing to see. Most people throw their toys out of the pram when told values :)

Agreed, enjoy them for what they are not their intrinsic value :D

Well done sir ....gold SWFUK star :D

looks like you got some cool goodies, what a cool mum! i'm just getting into the graphic novels myself, let me know if they are worth a read, only read a couple myself
