Help please gammorean guard non sonic welded?

Hi guys , can anybody help with this non sonic welded gammorean guard I've just bought , it's the first non sonic welded figure I've bought and to be honest I bought it on a wim after seeing a LXW Pilot on here the other day , so basically I'd like to know if it looks like a genuine non welded or has it just been unassembled with force ? There seems to be what looks like "stress marks" slightly on one side of torso and also the back of the head has a bit of plastic broken that I assume held the head a torso together ? Any help would be much appreciated

non-sonic welded are essentially failed sealed ones in any case so stress marks wouldnt be a big issue. The broken peg would worry me, but someone might have tried to assembe it after the fact, and subsequently failed - so the breakage might be a recent thing and not necessarily a sign of prising it apart.

I'd guess that you will never know - interesting piece nonetheless

I'm gonna say broken apart rather than non-sonic welded. There appears to be a very clear broken seal on the body parts edges (both sides) to my eye.

I say broken/forced apart too. White marks indicate stress so..

Agree with all the above. Looks like the old boil and pop method has been used, then a pair of long nose pliers (or similar) stuck in to prise the torso apart.

I have a few Jawas like that. I tend to describe them as weak weld that has fallen apart rather than non sonic weld. Of course there are those that have been forced open often ones with a broken peg.

As others have said unfortunately it's not non-sonic welded. You can see damage to the weld edges on the torso halves where its been forced apart. A non sonic welded figure would have clean weld edges with no damage.

I would label it as a weak sonic weld. Probably didn't take much to take apart.
