Hi all,

This is my first real post here (apart from my introduction), so I hope this is the right section for this topic.

I’ve been trying to put together a full run of Biker Scout variants ever since I discovered how many differences exist between them. I still have my childhood PBP Biker Scout, played with a lot but still in good condition.

I got these figures for Christmas ’84 or ’85 here in Spain, and I’m now trying to identify whether the blaster that came with it could be the PBP V3 variant. From what I can tell, it seems to match the TIG and VV descriptions: harder plastic, ochre/light grey tone, no EPM.

It has been quite difficult to find solid information about this specific blaster, so I’m uploading several photos from different angles and lighting conditions, including comparisons next to a HK blaster.

Any comments, observations or guidance would be very much appreciated. What do you reckon? Thanks in advance!

Hi Cal,

TIG is good, but Variant Villain is better. VV's figure and weapon classification system is much more comprehensive and useful than TIG's, so I would always recommend using their naming conventions for identification purposes. Definitely check out both websites, but when in doubt (and always for naming purposes), go with VV.

Based on your images, the lighter Biker Scout weapon you own certainly looks to be a PBP M2 variant (as defined by VV). It appears to have the correct colour and the crisper / finer detailing compared to regular Kader M2 variants.

Hope that helps :)

Jeremy

Thank you Jeremy,
I agree with you, VV is more "user friendly" and the info seems to be more "updated". It's great to have those two ( well, three , I found High as a koit also useful) sites for references.
I just heard ( or read) lots of time about a more defined, different, mould for this blaster.
Maybe is the two circles under the cannon?
Thank you for responding, I feel more convinced it is probably a M2 PBP blaster and I am not like one of those parents who thinks their kids are geniuses lol
