Help from the Coo experts please ....Is this a scarred vader

Thanks Lars

I keep all my figures, the only ones I let go are the ones I share with my son, love them, and that's why I collect, very modestly, but to own little pieces of SW history.

Thanks Lars, and June for your insight into this it is much appreciated :D

There are several different Scar CoO, removed, erased, raised bar coo's all made for the european market,
and probablly all made at the Palitoy factory.
Lars you are correct in saying that it is unsure as to the origin of any of the COo,
the only way to be 100% sure is to start opening sealed examples to check the coo, i dont think that will be happening.
Assuming that these euro variants were made at Palitoy, many of these coo, would have been distributed to other countries for there own packaging purposes.
That is why clipper baggie has 4, maybe 5 different coo packed in there baggies,
PBP, would also have more than 1 coo used in there packaging,
Palitoy has more than 1 coo they used in there packaging.
That is why labelling any of these coo to one definate source, is only a guess.

Yours is a " H - scar " CoO, found on Clipper mailers, PBP 65 backs, and Palitoy 65 backs.
Oscar has it spot on here and there probably found on Palitoy 45 backs too, they are both made by PBP because this one has the same paint job and accessories as the PBP full scar version and as far as I know there the only 2 COO's that have that cape so it makes sense there from the same factory. The other 3 Clipper mailers all have Macau baggies and different figures and accessories.

So the stamp I found on my clipper baggies is 100% sure a clipper stamp ?

Yes yours is one of the ones found in the Macau baggies, there's another one very similar to yours and the other confirmed one is one of the raised bars. Maybe both the raised bars and possible if there both a pair of molds.

AJ, the key word is "probablly"
50/50 chance, but with out a time machine to go back and have a look,
we are only guessing.
The Palitoy factory video which im sure everyone has seen,
does infact only show packaging/assemblly footage, and not figure production footage.
I wonder if anyone has contact with former Palitoy factory employees that could answer
if pouring the molds was done in UK. :?:

I also have a loose with the same no coo, so that must also be a clipper :?

Yes If it has the same feet forward head, I also had one of those COO's from a US lot which also had a POTF Vaders coin in it. I never checked the head and feet at the time though.

I was also under the impression Palitoy made some vehicles and a Runcorn? But not loose figures, 99% of all these Palitoy baggies out there have come from factory employees which should have ended up on cards, they are MIHK, Macau, China. If figures where made in the UK Palitoy would have made sure the cards had a UK COO on them
