Have I got a right to be annoyed ?

I have just spent around £300 with a seller and asked him what else he would be listing - he asked me to pay for the items straight away because he would not be listing anything else for a while as he didn't have time.

I send him the money and now I find out he has listed a load more items, many of which that I would have been interested in, and that they have all sold.

Am I being unreasonable to expect that having spent a large sum of money with him that he should have let me know what he was going to list before he did ?

Tough one- I know who your talking about, an I am in the same boat :wink:

I suppose he has soooo much to sell it makes doing that very difficult. Offering some items around can lead to confusion and problems.
What I have done is ask him to hold what I have bought and ship at a late date- so postage can be combined if any other juicy bits come up for sale, and I reckon there is tonnes more to come

Hey Iain. I feel for you mate :? . The seller seems very recluctant to hold items. I had to really pursuade him myself and it was only because we have dealt previously that he agreed. Perhaps it would have been a better move from him to list everything at the same time. :?

I am really annoyed because he listed a load of Trilogos that I need at prices I would have been happy to pay. I understand that I have no divine right to them but would expect a bit of a heads up if I am spending the cash with him.

At the end of the day it is not a big deal in the grand scheme of life - it is just not how I would go about selling things

If it is Klaus you are speaking about, I asked him to hold something for me about five minutes after he put it up for sale and he said he wouldn't because people had let him down so in the end (and not long after my initial email) I agreed to buy it that same night . When he got back to me he said he had just sold it to someone else. It turns out that someone else has the item I would have paid for a few days ago on hold with Klaus while he waits for more things to come up for sale from him so he can buy more and cut down on postage..

End of the day, it's his stuff and if he wants to hold it for some and not others he can and if he wants to sell it to some and not others he can, annoying yes but there we go. I can see why you are a little upset though Iain, £300 already spent with him is not pocket change after all. Perhaps he just feels that he would rather put it out there at his prices for all to see than be doing mates rates and bulk deals only for a few of them to fall through with non payers?

Anyways- Sunday rants are as good as sunday roasts so don't worry :lol:

I stopped dealing on there because of **** like this. I know there are good people over there (many of us swfukers for starters) but there are also a shockingly large percentage of wankers.
They come over here sometimes [not mentioning any names] and they stick out like a sore thumb.

Why is there such animosity regarding RS members here? Not just the comments here, but what I read all the time on SWFUk. There's a lot of guys on RS that I think are wankers but there's also a few on here. I don't think that since a seller is mainly on RS, he's a bad guy to deal with. I sell mainly on RS but am happy to deal with SWFUKers. I would treat anyone from any forum fairly.

Also, concerning Klaus, he treated me fair recently. I knew about 3 items he owned that weren't listed for sale yet that I wanted, and he worked with me on the price on 2 and wants to keep the 3rd. I do know what you guys mean though. I always like to get the heads up on future items if I've spent a little cash with someone.

My issue is that I asked what else would be available as was told that there was not time to give me a list and that things would not be listed for a while. They are his items to sell as he so desires - just would have been nice for a heads up

The animosity here is just due to personal experiences. A LOT of them.
I used to sell on RS and just got fed up with people talking to me like i was a ****ing idiot. The arrogance and rudeness i experienced over and over again was something i've not found on any other forum. Same goes with when i was buying on there. Something else i no longer do for the same reasons.
Please be aware, as i stated in my first post, that i know there are also many good people over there. Many i have dealt with and it's been a pleasure.
I don't have time to list the dozens of negative experiences i had in the short time i used RS but suffice it to say that many others i have spoken to experienced the same thing. I could probably name 12-15 people who have stopped using that site because of the way they were spoken to at some point or due to messed around or screwed over with regards to sales.
That is where the animosity comes from.

Its not just the sales issues, I read a lot of hate posts regarding RS in general. There's a bunch of D-Bags over there, but there's more good guys imo. There's so much traffic on RS, you almost have to read the classifieds because certain items may never be seen on Ebay or other forums. I do have to refrain from visiting the Toys discussion section from time to time due to the negativity and BS, but I'll spend a little more time here or on TIG.

Yeah i think you've summed it up. I think dealing with that many sellers at once you're gonna have enough tossers to give the forum a bad name. People say the same about ebay - "ebay is full of wankers" "people on ebay drive me mad" and WE are all on ebay. It's the same deal.
Whenever i read a thread on RS it's just one [usually controversial] that someone has posted here and usually someone talking absolute ****. Or someone getting screwed over and tho that may not be the norm it does stick in people's heads as "the way things are" when those are the only threads one tends to read.
Also the MODs over there have shocking double standards with how they chose and chose not to police the site. That doesn't help things any.

I thought Turklit was a scammer. He had all the warning signs. I didn't want anyone losing their money. I later apologized and we're cool now. So I don't know why you would hold that against me.

I also got banned from RS for that incident. So, if anyone is holding a grudge against a certain MOD on RS, it would be me.

I figure you're just talking a little ****, that's cool. Besides speaking my mind against U Grades or Scammers, I try not to be a dick if I can help it
