No figures for crimbo - it a third display case showed up.
Now they are 12 a case which is great - but I am thinking a few of the figures in the top case aren't right - it may well have to become 1st 12…. Which would mean a fourth case for the extras. It never ends…
So the box here is a beater and needed so card and tape to look passable again, but after a few mins with some water and a toothbrush Jabba cleaned up well and everything is there along with instructions.
Second vintage purchase of the month (and last)
Box is OK - one end beaten up a bit, but overall nice enough.
The ship needed a clean and the stickers are a bit of a mess, but again, scrubbed up nicely and certainly nice enough to look at.
So this is a mixed one - probably the first purchase I have made that I maybe regret - in that for £30 more I could have had a better version.
I wouldn't say the advertisement on evilbay was misleading, but it was very, very economical.
But an hour with a toothbrush, some water and kitchen roll and the play set itself has scrubbed up very well - the probe is missing an arm - but as it happens I found a spare for £12 so no big deal.
The box was a stinking turd though - required some major sellotape surgery just to look like a box again.
When it eventually goes on display it will be outside the box - so not a big deal and it is nice to clean something up, put all the bits back together and restore it - guess I've had a good evilbay run of late so inevitable one disappointing purchase would turn up - but it does look nice now it is clean.
She needed around four hours of cleaning but has come up very nicely. The electrics and faultless and both chin guns are original (although due to a snafoo on my part I though one was missing when it arrived so bought another pair and then found the missing one… Dooh) - the inserts are original and the box in decent nick, and some instructions to boot……
