Great deal for vinyl jawa

if its real have it graded then at least you can re-sell it without the hassle ukkatie had! :)

**** me what a ****. The cards resealed with superglue, the cape is fake, the figure is missing paint on the hands and even has what looks like glue residue on the cape to keep it closed. On top of that theres a small piece of tape on the inside of the bubble where the real weapon was.
All in all a ****ing joke. Here comes paypal to the rescue......
****ing pick

I was just looking at the pictures again and it looked like there was some paint loss

Also read all the crap that the seller wrote - glad that someone won it that knew what to look for - I would have hated for this to end up in a newbie collection

Sorry to hear it. Hopefully PayPal will freeze the money in their account and refund you pretty quickly.

Does the weapon look good?

Seriously though this is bollocks and I hope you get fully reimbursed.

Lets pray PAYPAL delivery the goods on this, as for the seller what a complete wanker!

You are out a lot of money so I just wanted to say firstly that I really hope you get your money back.

Secondly and this is going to come across as horribly rude but everyone is thinking it..why on earth did you bid on this sack of crap? I am all for a gamble but this auction was so wrong it's almost laughable.

Even if the Jawa was real and just resealed on the wrong card you would have overpaid at that ending price..

You don't find real MOC VC Jawa's in a small lot (on ebay UK of all places) flanked by four or five loose figures and a couple of shitty AT-ST's

Thats a fair question joe. The thing is Ive took a few gambles that paid off so I probably got used to it. The bubble looked good IMO and like I mentioned before if it was factory left over stock it probably wouldnt have a vc bubble.
Also the fact the seller said shed be happy to take it back if it was fake swayed me a lot, guess Im a bit trusting but **** it theres a claim in and as far as I know ebay should refund me if its found to be fake. Failing that Ill go to the police, my cousin works forensics and Ive a few other family members I can ask for advise but I dont think Ill have to go down that route.
David

I wish you the best in getting your money back David, I don't think I could have said the above without upsetting you it just does my nut in when people risk £500 on something like this. Now you have to wait for paypal to get their arse in gear and chase it all up all the while you are £500 down and now you have to go send a turd back to the seller. So much hassle!

All the best mate, sorry if I came across a bit of a **** I just get so annoyed at these types of auctions and always wonder why people gamble when all the signs point to a scam!

I know what you mean Joe - but in this case it is probably better for the community that it was bought by someone who knew it was fake rather than someone who didn't

There are so many scammers out there (Costablancastarwars) that prey on newbies - the number of fake DT's and recards that I have seen sold for silly money is really sad - especially as the buyers often don't know they have been fleeced until they come to sell on the items

Thanks Joe but you didnt upset me. Im pissed off that I ended up with a piece of junk and more so about having to claim back £500 I really dont have, but **** it, theres always a scumbag about somewhere. Like Ian says at least it wasnt some noob that would have thought they had something special. Still waiting on a reply from the seller though, should I hold my breath :D
ps Anyone with a 12 back Yak Face contact me

I can see your point Iain about someone in the know winning an auction like this and somehow stopping someone from getting caught out but does David not have to send this figure back now? If so all that is happened is that he sent them £500 for a few days and has to wait for paypal to investigate and gives the figure right back to the scammer?

True, but is the seller is a genuine novice then it shouldn't go back out for sale - and at least if it doesit can be reported if he/she doesn't disclose that it is a fake

I agree, David is out by £500 for a while (and probably the return postage costs) but he chose to take the gamble

Isn't the ebay policy on fakes to destroy them_?

I believe if ebay request it is sent to them then yes they probably do destroy it or make sure its disposed of but any seller who wants their crap back and avoid a neg will offer a full refund if you send the items to them. It is the ideal situation for the buyer if you just want your money back quick as ebay/paypal can drag their feet but iof course it gets their bullshit items back to them to sell to another mug!

Make sure you take a load of pictures and send it back using the most secure method possible... Sucks balls man that you spent that much! I hope you get a refund!

**** sending it back, deliver it in person

No surprises with the result, all runs of luck end eventually.

Look on the bright side though, you saved some noob getting stuck with it thinking it was real. You took a shot for the team

And you should be getting your money back...

This is what confuses me though..

The seller said in big bold red lettering in the question/answers section way before auction end...

"If you are uncertain of this item's authenticity then please refrain from placing a bid, I would much rather not have to worry about cases being opened against me, not knowing if I am allowed to touch the money that the auction generates in case it needs to be returned, I would rather it went for less and the buyer were happy. thank you"

So at this point, 99.9% of the worlds eBay watching population know that this is an admission that the item is not genuine. The seller says specifically I don't know if it's fake or not (orange light), please don't bid thinking it is genuine (red light) and I don't really want you returning it (flashing red light and siren sound).

..and playing even bigger devils advocate, is'nt this a sort of disclaimer by the seller?

Look, please don't hate me, but to shell out £500, which as mentioned is more than a loose VC would cost, is just ridiculous. I just don't get it. Were youngambling on the massive odds of it being something ultra special?? Were you making a point to the seller (done a million times in messages received no doubt)?? Or saving the noobs from a dud??..but then your returning it so it will 100% still end up being sold to some poor gullible **** somewhere.

Really confused.
