Good News!!!

Thanks for your nice words chaps. I've got my scan today so from 2pm today ill become radioactive man

Sorry to hear that buddy. My mum had bowel cancer and she showed it the door. Stay strong and positive because it can and does get beaten

Had my scan today, it was quite funny seeing the radioactive stuff in a metal case then out popped a metal syringe, the nurse had a radiation alarm and they wouldn't come near me once the injected in.

I had to use a special toilet to have a piss  .

Had my scan results today, not the best news the cancer has spread to more lymphnodes in the stomach and now is in my neck which puts it at stage 3.

The only option is a stem cell transplant with high dose chemo. I will start the second line chemo next Wednesday and have 2/3 cycles of this then they will harvest my stem cells and then ill be admitted to hospital for high dose chemo and then the transplant. This whole process won't finish till the end of the year then it'll take a year to recover.

It's going to be a long road.

Bloody hell Weas that's just what he wants to hear

Seriously Macman sending you positive vibes mate. If any of us can do anything just ask.

Mate Im really sorry to hear this latest bout of heavy news. Stay strong. I went through a similar situation with a close friends illness over the last few years. I seen first hand just how harrowing it can get. Were all wishing you the very best of luck here.

Regards

Grant.

Hey bud- only way to find out how far it is to exit the forest is to put one step forward at a time and it sounds like that's exactly what your doing.

Best wishes,

Grant

Not the best news, mate- but... the consultants now know what they're dealing with, and it sounds like you're getting the best treatment. We're with you every step of the way, buddy- so hopefully that road won't seem as long

Cheers guys got a lot of stuff to sort out before hand. Doesn't look like ill be able to work for a while. Just had a call and the treatment will start on the 13th got to have a PICC line put into my arm and a kidney function test.

My veins are screwed from the last lot of chemo I had.

They will be harvesting my own stem cells after the first round of chemo. Apparently it's safer that way in my case.

Macman, sorry to hear this. Stay strong and beat the hell out of this disease :x rooting for you all the way!!!
