Hy guys

As some of you will know I have been very lucky to find not just one but 2 shipping cases with case fresh single figure mailers, firstly a case of plain white box overstock palitoy Emperors, these are stupidly tough to find, I had been looking for one for years till this case landed in my lap.

I also have a half full case of Nien Nunb's held at UKG which I will be collecting this week, so will be looking to sell some of to fund other pressing outgoings, they will be 50 pounds each & am just popping this up to gauge interest, they will be put up for sale here next week when I know what's what with the NN's, as said the they are case fresh so as good as you're likely to ever find.

In an ideal world I would really like to keep both of the shipping cases full of their mailers, but hell I have not won the lottery yet & have **** needs paying for as do most of us mortal collectors.

If you want one of either or each can you post on the thread please.

Will post pics of the NN's soon as I have them.

I will be keeping the shipping cases which is the main reason I bought them, but will also be keeping 2 of each, one to be graded sealed the other to be opened & graded, so I can have them sitting nicely in front of the shipping cases.

I think it's a shame split the lot from their original box. I like **** like that as it links the figures with factories and distribution. They must be really uncommon.

This is a terrible time for me buying wise (I have to give Mr Somma rather a lot of cash soon) otherwise I would be in for the whole case as I love these packing cases

Interested in one of each depending on the price.
Edit: A single mailer that is, not those shopping cases.

I'd be interested in one of each.
Oddly I have both already, but their boxes are torn and have someones (a dealer I presume) handwriting on saying "Emperor/NN Trade Sample", minty fresh upgrades are very appealing!

I'll be away till sunday/monday guys, so as said just pop your names on here & I will deal with it when I get back k

These are Palitoy Emperors & Tol Toys, Nien Nunb's so do not come with a catalogs, only the kenner ones did.

Thats well cool, never seen one of them. 144 pieces! Lovely condition too. I've already got an Emperor, otherwise I'd have had one.

yeah an odd number for a shipping case, but presume they just did it that way to fit an existing box size they had?? :? :?

These are the Palitoy Emperors mailers BTW not the really common Kenner ones Rob?

I'm sure if somebody offers the combined price @ £50 each of £7200, Frank will be more than happy to sell the Emperors as a lot and save it from being broken up :)

On a serious note (you said the thread was to gauge interest) IMO you need to reduce the price. You can't sell 144 of them without flooding the market, so they should be priced accordingly so that you still make a nice profit but they all sell. Otherwise it will be a repeat of the full case of Luke Jedi baggies that was found a few years back - sell a few for top money, and then be stuck with 120 of them that nobody wants at that price point, so he ended up selling a half-empty case.

Personally I'd happily pay £20 for one, but I'm not going to pay £50 for something when I know you have 143 more of them. What you say about them being rare before may well be true, but they're not rare any more thanks to this find :) If somebody found 144 Palitoy Boba Fetts tomorrow they wouldn't sell for 15 grand any more.

All IMO of course mate.

It's a fair point although I've no idea what price was paid for the box in the first place and maybe this is the reason for the price per unit? Either way it's a great sight to see and I may also be interested if the price was lower.

Best of luck with them.

Ian

I agree with Edd and Ian. I'd be interested in both if cheaper. If we were to all buy one at 50 quid the value drops straight after or when you start struggling to shift them all so have to reduce the price (means the initial takers are out of pocket).
Supply and demand I suppose - the supply having increased along with demand dropping as everyone that wants one gets one and before long they end up getting passed around between us for 15/20 quid.

I'm on an iPad as & when I have access till Sunday Monday & pretty useless with them, so will keep it short, but to answer your question/concerns edd,I did not get them that cheap, if I sold them at £20 a pop I would be paying you guys to give them away, I am in no rush to sell these & will not be dropping the price after sales drop off & not flooding the market with them at a reduced price, that would not be fair, any that do not sell will be staying with the cases & the full case is not for sale at any price, it's.they are for my collection.

Yes some will be put out in future as & when I need funds for a buy as I put a huge chunk of my saving into buying these, hell I paid 300 usd plus shipping for the empty Luke Jedi one without baggies.

If folks think it's to much that's fair do's, but the worry of them suddenly popping up for £20 is not going to happen

Many of the emperor ones have split tape, so will not be worth the value of the sealed ones, I have not had them all out but I suspect 50 % of them are no longer sealed! I am offering the sealed ones here.

Fair enough Frank, thanks for the response. I appreciate you need to try and make your money back (and a profit) and if as you say many of them aren't sealed that makes more sense. Having looked on eBay mail away Emperors sell for £15-£30. Yes they are the 'common' Kenner ones, but due to this find the Palitoy ones are now equally common, there's no escaping that I'm afraid unless you intend to only sell ten of them and then burn the rest!

Anyway best of luck with your sales - as said I'd be interested in both if cheaper but not at £50 each.

You have any idea how many Kenner ones are out there Edd?? Most likely thousands, not 150' so these remain a hell of a lot more desirable/rarer than the Kenner to anyone it to them., these will never be as common as the Kenner ones by a Swiss country mile, the Kenner ones are almost as common as the Removable limbs 3po's & we know several shipping cases of those were found all with 200 in.

So the price I have put up is IMO a realistic price, if you don't like the price that's fair enough.

An amazing sight that box ,regardless of costs ,the picture was priceless thank you ,I wonder if there are case fresh boxes out there of 12 backs !! Ooohhh ,like some old walworths warehouse that time has forgot :D my imagination is running wild now
