I have an original Glasslite Vlix for sale. This is the ultra rare figure produced in the 80's, for the Star Wars cartoon series Droids. Produced in Brazil, only a handful of these exist worldwide. This comes loose and WITHOUT weapon, but is AFA graded already. Came back with an AFA 75 grade, due to paint wear. Looking for 3000 USD or best offer. I live in the United States, so shipping charges will vary depending on location.

**UPDATE** It has been pointed out on here, that I should include where I acquired this. This particular Vlix was purchased secondary from someone directly from Rio Brazil. No paperwork to prove this, just the truth. I have an official AFA COA verifying that this is indeed an authentic Vlix. If you are really interested, please contact me via PM. Also, it has pointed out that "best offer" does not work on this site. Well if that's the case, then maybe I won't get any offers. But if you want the opportunity to own a truly authentic, hard to find Star Wars collectible, don't let this one pass you by. PM me . Thanks.View attachment 2

**UPDATE 2** For all the people who doubted this "newbie", here are the photos you most desperately asked for. Hopefully, this proves that this is indeed an actual Vlix, graded by a very reputable grading company. So if you really want the chance to own a Vlix, contact me ASAP. Thanks.

   You will stand absolutely no chance of selling this on here unless
a) you provide photos (i'd demand today's newspaper in front of the figure)
b) you properly introduce yourself
c) you list a price

How on earth do you expect someone to pay thousands without any proof whatsoever to someone who has only just joined the forum

Jesus! Completely agree with Nick on this ! You will never sell this in a month of sundays without provence from where it came from and detailed pictures and perhaps a photo of a report from AFA?

If you are really interested, please contact me via PM. I can forward these photos on to you from there. Also, it has pointed out that "best offer" does not work on this site. Massive red flag again. It's not hard to upload photos on here at all, and if you don't want to offer any sort of a price then no, you won't sell it on here.

Really hope no-one on here puts in an offer for this without seeing any hard proof of its existence.

Don't mean to sound harsh to a new member but put yourself in our shoes and the word "shady" looks incredibly wise with this type of opportunity.

I really hope i'm wrong as we all know just how rare this item is, but it is down to you to prove it.

BigMac - I think you may have taken some of the comments the wrong way here. It is with good reason that people insist on asking for photos of the actual item. There are many people who come onto forums like this looking to scam
people. (Im not saying you are)

I would hope that you can understand that some kind of evidence for the existence of an item must be presented before any offers are made.

In terms of sales threads etiquette on this forum there is a kind of protocol which requires images and prices to be produced rather than an open offer format. This tends to save a lot of time and aggrovation especially when dealing with rather high ends items like this. (This can be seen by looking at other sales threads in this section)

I hope you havent taken anyones comments out of context but there are certain procedures that really should be adhered to in order make sales here. This is for everyones security. That being said, its a cool item and Im sure that somewhere down the line you may get a sale for it.

All the best with the sale.

Chris.

First off, a rare figure like this will need more evidence of your validity, ebay feedback, ect.

Maybe you should list it on ebay and give people the option to buy it off you via there so they have security.

DONT DEAL UNLESS YOU PAY VIA CREDIT CARD AND GOODS INVOICES

Just listed on EBay. Feel free to check out my feedback, and ask any questions to set your mind at ease. :D

i did:

Auction stated $15 S&H Asked me to pay $108 more or he would not ship! Reported! Buyer: circa*1999 ( 190) 09-Feb-11 03:43
Reply by bababooey996un7 (10-Feb-11 13:40):
Clearly stated shipping costs determined at auction's end. Buyer was illiterate.
Follow up by circa*1999 (11-Feb-11 10:00):
Auction reads"in the ballpark of $40"Then tries to rip you off on s&h.SCAM.AVOID
Jabba The Hut Illusive Maquette **Limited Edition** (#230580527036) US $75.00

One bad auction experience out of 300+ positive ones, seems like a home run to me. My feedback rating percentage speaks for itself. Is it me, or is nothing good enough for anyone on here?? A lot of detail combing, and nitpicking. if you don't want to buy this fine, but why the negativity?? Hope someone sees that I am an honest seller, with good intentions with this posting. If not, then your loss on a rare item.

people on here are unsure and negative because it is such a rare item. There are so many customs of this figure out there. Could we have a link to the ebay auction?

Ps - Perhaps you may have been better by selling a few other items first, gaining a good reputation and then trying to sell the Vlix mate. :)

Liam has hit the nail on the head IMO, I myself can see why there is what you regard to be negativity toward you on the forum, its not negativity its more like self preservation & concern for ones fellow forum members, I am sure if I had turned up on the forum & started trying to sell an item with a price tag of over £1000 in my first post I would not have been accepted in to the community as easily as I have, but I made several posts, introduced myself/read a lot about what's going on on the forum & made a few normal (not sales) posts about the hobby & aspects of it that were of interest to me before proceeding directly to the for sales section, I am sure you are indeed a genuine seller & have history with the hobby, but please do try to see why this thread has run the way it has from the established members side, we get a lot of 1 post wonders on here on almost a daily basis IE - I have a huge SW collection I just found in my grandmas attic, anyone want to buy it, then no further contact photos etc

If you do want to stick around & become part of whats going on here consider making an introduction, maybe do a limelight thread showing fellow members what you collect & which aspects of the hobby interest you, then maybe folks will be a lot more willing to entertain sales/trades with you, after all you would not hand a check over to a stranger at your door simply claiming to be collecting for charity without seeing some kind of ID first would you?.

I sold two Vlixes recently. They are not an easy piece to sell even when you have been in the hobby for ever and have a good reputation.

I think people are trying to give advice rather than being picky just out of spite.

This is a hobby where there are many fakes, and many fraudsters. Quite a few of us on here have been conned in the past or seen many others cheated. This can make people a little over protective.

So stick around and take it as well meant advice.
