Hi,

I've just started collecting (Vintage MOC) and I really like the offers here. But does anyone know a good german forum with a sales section? Any help appreciated! :)

Regards,
D

Yea, I've been there, but couldn't find a sales section. So I googled and came across this forum here. This is exactly what I'm looking for, only with german dealers so reduce shipping costs and have a more secure shipping route... :)

I buy stuff from Germany all the time. Shipping costs are usually quite reasonable and things arrive fairly quickly.

Thanx! Any problems with german customs for the higher priced items?

Edit: Sorry, I just see that you are from UK, I thought you are from Germany as well and buy in the UK ... :)

Plenty of German guys buy items from UK/US collectors :) You obviously speak good English so might as well stay here!

(Pete is right on the postage, not a major factor really within Europe only gets pricey from the states if sent tracked etc)

I buy from the UK all the time (I'm in the Netherlands). The shipping prices are actually quite reasonable if the items are not too large and there's no problem at all with customs. You will have to take the conversion rates into account when purchasing of course.

Well, I'm really happy that I've found this forum. I've just started collecting. To be honest I just wanted to have like 5-6 figures MOC which I liked the most in my childhood. Of course, some of the real pricey ones. :) Like Luke Stormtrooper or Boba Fett. It all started when I bought a Boushh Leia a couple of days ago. But now the wish to have more than the ones I was initially looking for has spread inside my head like a virus ... ;) And I've already found some items of interest here, so I'll give it a try.
I buy comic books quite often from the UK. Sometimes I'm impressed by the shipping speeds (comic book arrives in less then a week after payment), sometimes it takes so long that I think the item is lost but then it arrives very late (later than a month after payment) and once a real rare and pricey comic book was lost in transit. :( I got a refund though, but have not been able to find this comic book anywhere else since then.

Is it common courtesy to ship the MOCs in a star case?

Thanks all for being so nice! :)

Hi.
To see "sales section" at www.Lichtgeschwindigkeit.de you have to create an account before. It's for members only.

Be sure to always ask that the item be shipped Royal Mail 'signed for' or 'airsure'. Better yet, have them use another carrier, but that could get pricey.

The most important thing is that it's protected as much as possible during transport. This might or might not involve a star case, I don't know. People have their preferred methods.

Thanks for this too! :)

Nice to see another German collector on here, I live in the Uk now but am from Hamburg originally, great bunch of guys here on the forum & very friendly, all the members I have dealt/traded with have been fantastic.

Shipping within Europe as the guys have said is usually quite straight forward as long as you have things insured & or singed for.
