weasel said:I was saying to a mate last night, has there ever been a better midfield than Spain's? Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Fabregas, Villa, Mata?
That's SEVEN world class midfielders who would be the star man in any other country.
That's ignoring Jesus Navas and Santi Cazola who are proper good.
Scary scary stuff!
weasel said:Sorry yeah, typoed including Villa. I meant Silva.
Agreed Spain were lucky, they couldn't have had too many complaints if Croatia had got something last night.
Hi JeffDublinjeff said:Good game there tonight in fairness, England were lucky alright but will go on from that I think. Hard to call the Italy game........
Rooney and co may bend over then. Theirs going to be a mass rape live on tv.jackabina said:Italy are masters of the game England are trying to play at the moment. Either England 1-0, or they will get dicked!!
The ox lol, is that because hes built like 1 or has the face of 1? :lol:jackabina said:For me, he should play the ox on the left, theo on the right, and rooney just behind carrol.
Probably right but you have to wonder if the goal was allowed would it have been the first of 2. England looked a bit tighter after they got away with it, if it had been allowed perhaps theyd have panicked. Well never know but it doesnt matter, I just hope they pull their knobs out and beat the Italians.PGowdy said:All the talk of "luck" and "england having a helping hand from the officials" even in some of today's tabloids is completely baffling to me. The Daily Mirror writes today- "Wonder Wayne books Italian date after goal blunder saves Three Lions" Wrong, a draw would have seen England top the group with 5 points. They also write- "Wayne Rooney - and a huge slice of luck - fired England into the Euro 2012 quarter final" again, WRRRRONGGGG..... WITH OR WITHOUT THE UKRAINE "GOAL" ENGLAND WOULD HAVE TOPPED THE GROUP!! IT WAS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT!!
Sorry to shout that but it seems no one is aware of it. Seriously, am i the only one this is pissing off. I mean, i know we love a bit of negativity even when England achieve beyond expectations (doing better than world cup finalists Holland, much fancied, in their group, Russia and done every bit as good as "the best team in world football" Spain who have been very average) but at least be accurate. We were lucky to beat the Ukraine as they should have been awarded a goal which crossed the line and weren't but were we lucky to get out of the group. Nope. Top the group. Nope. To get Italy, well possibly but only in that Spain were very lucky to beat Croatia and should have finished 2nd.
Ok rant over.
For now.
