as for racism or homophobic remarks.... i think the whole world has gone mad. i am not sure what racism really is? i guess attacking someone because of the skin colour is what used to constitue racism but nowdays its any remark to do with skin colour. to call a fat bloke tubby is fine but to call an asian lad mowgli is said to be wrong. they are just descriptive words and if said with no malice, in a jocking sort of way, then as long as no offence is caused then fine yeh???
we had a young asian lad join our fim as an apprentice painter . we called him mowgli or man cub for a laugh. no nastiness and just treat him as one of us. he told us after 5 weeks that it was the best job he had had. nobody treated him differently or like a leper, by trying too hard , as his previous employment had ....
as for homphobic remarks , for the last 2000 years, since the writings of god were given to moses ( :roll: ) it has been a mortal sin to (in the words of the bible)to " lie down with another man" . so how come in the last 20 years its become ok to be gay. i would never be nasty to anyone just because of thier sexuality but be honest, and i say this as a parent of 2 lads, if you son told you he was gay you would not be over the moon would you????????????
