Man this brings back memories, there I am checking out an old M&Cm I found in the collection and this page cropped up. Jesus, time flys....

IIRC tgey went for between £10-15k. You could get maybe triple that now,even more if sold seperately.

That was the exact advert that inspired me to collect the first 20 palitoy run. It was in the Models and collectors Mart.
Brings back good memories, always kept looking at it and sadly even placed the completed set of mine in the same order as that picture.

15 years ago was when I first started collecting star wars figures, where does time go, still remember getting my first Palitoy 12 back.
It was R2D2, and bought it funnily enough from Jim Stevenson advert which was in the Model and Collectors Mart.

Andy, talk about coincidences mate. Scibbled on the inside of the mag from 2000 is an email address from a guy i bought something from : [email protected] couldnt beleive it. Talk about coincidence

Wasn't that the auction set up by Jason Joiner?? If it was I rem seeing all 20 displayed at my local Cheshunt Toy fair. I think I rem bidding £120 on the Hammer Head and got outbid. The Luke went for £2200 and it wasn't mint.
The story goes the guy who owned them turned up with them all in some giant ruck sack-none star cased :lol:
