I get the feeling that the early issue Palitoy ones will be fine judging from his previous ebay listings, it's just the price and condition that might be an eye opener (although maybe these are his best ones?).

It's true though that it isn't an auction site so to sell things on here you really need to put pictures and prices up otherwise you may as well go to ebay and suffer the fees. It doesn't take much effort to research the price and with someone who has been selling them for years I'm pretty sure he would know the current market value and is just trying to see what people are prepared to pay. Again, may as well stick it ebay for 99p and see where it ends if you want to do this.

If it helps anyone though I was offered Toy Hunter Jordan's set of 11 (first 12 with no Luke), last year for 10K. They were in pretty good condition and that should give people an idea of how much they were back then. Prices seem to have stabilized for these first 12 since then judging by ebay and auction prices realised.

Sorry mate everything I have is fine. I have a few toy toni figures which constitute around 0.1% of my collection and I have certainly made people aware of them if they want to buy them they can at a discount price. As for my methods I find this is the best way so cheers for the advice but will carry on the way I am doing had plenty interest and if serious people want to make an offer they can email, get pictures and then go from there. You get a lot of people wasting your time on forums hence the way I am doing it. Some will be going on ebay FYI

Thanks for getting back to me about my point (and everyone else's), it's not something that some sellers would take the time to do so it's good that you wanted to clear things up a bit.

I understand your point about the way you like to do business but my point was that on this forum people have always been asked to give prices when selling something as it's not an auction site. I always thought that was a rule and that's why I pointed it out but hopefully a mod can clear that up for me and anyone else selling on here.

As for everything you have being fine, I did say that with my first line as I remember seeing your items on ebay in the past and could see everything looked good and that you had some great pieces. I can't comment after 30 backs though as I really have no knowledge on this and the Toni situation has made a real mess of things.

I do wish you the best with your sales as I know it must be hard letting some pieces go but at least it will make some collectors out there really happy to bag a few more into their collection. I feel the whole listing prices or asking for offers does need to be clarified though for the future of this forum so everyone knows where they stand. TFB's comment about helping other collectors out is something I've seen often on here so I know which way I'd prefer things done so that it doesn't become the same sort of selling place as so many other places out there. Even though more money could be made asking for offers, sometimes helping people out can be more satisfying (like you mentioned you did by sticking to the agreed price on the 30 backs you sold).

There you go you just said it yourself there is no rule so I will continue to do it how I feel. Reason I dont post on the here and ask for bids etc is that you get loads of timewasters wasting your time creating lengthy threads about silly things, you are a perfect example. When you get people to inbox you its separates serious buyers from bored house husbands........ :lol:

Genuine people posting on this Forum, it is in no way elitist, for that very reason there are a number, I count myself as one, of members who have a love for collecting Star Wars Vintage and all have different levels of knowledge.

There are guys on here who help and support with their knowledge and I for one have been saved from having my fingers burned on more than one occasion which I am very grateful for.

Long term members including " house Husbands" and" silly posters" are not members on here simply to collect, the forum is a vehicle to be used if so wished for that, but it is also a community, of like minded people who love to chat about all things SW as well, that's why there are off topic threads and the like. Kick one we all limp I'm afraid, but a fantastic comradery exists within the forum, that is protective and genuine.

theres a difference between chatting and slander, there are some people on here who seem to love spreading hate, and others that are very helpful indeed. Good and bad in all walks of life. And thank you for your comments

Yes there is a possibility they are genuine as I didnt buy some of them apart from the 4 I mentioned from toy toni. But people on here inform me there is a possibility others could be Toy Toni stock, hence the disclaimer on some of the others. Dont you know collecting should be fun and in my book, buying from someone who acts like this guy doesnt sound like fun.

this forum is not about quick sales and making money. It's about helping each other out and having a little fun on the way. At least I thought it was.
