FS: Rare Figures - Uzay ST, Trilogo Boba, Yak Face

Greetings everyone,

After collecting a lot of input online, I'm finally selling some pieces from my childhood collection.

I ship internationally too as some of you may inquire!

Prices are without shipping, unless specified.
Please look at the pictures carefully, and feel free to ask questions!

These are figures I've had since I was about 6 years old. I have only used warm water and soap to clean up the dirt and cobwebs they were covered with after 20+ years of storage - that's the extent of it. No other chemicals used on them.

Again, if you have any questions, please ask and I'll answer them as best as I can.

Thanks!

You're pretty lucky to have those figures from when you were 6 mate?!?!

To be honest, I didn't even buy most of them. A friend of mine gave them to me back then. That's how I got the Stormtroopers, one of them being an Uzay. :)

I remember getting the Yak Face though; it was sold in some kind of dollar store here in Paris, so I got it for like $1. I never played with it though as I wasn't familiar with the character and it wasn't emblematic enough for me. That bode quite well for me I guess since it didn't suffer any playwear :D

Thanks for your comment by the way!

Right, ok....

So where are you based now then?

Did someone from our forum purhase your Boba??

Good luck with your sales.

Thanks

Thanks!

I'm in France, born and raised here.

Jedirunner from scum purchased my Boba. :)

Cheers!

I notice you made a point of saying no other chemicals were used for cleaning, after having a big argument/debate on RS about the benefits of bleaching white figures.

That's right, just wanted to emphasize none of these figures had been bleached whatsoever so that people know exactly what they are buying. As you probably read from my post on rs about bleaching, I did all my tests on GI Joes only (I'm a Joe collector by the way, if any of you has any spares! ok I know it's a shameless plug...) and I use my test dummies for customs too! If you're interested please feel free to check my customs at joecustoms.com (same username).

Cheers! :D

I believe that because off you responded positive in the RS "peroxide" thread, you really lost some potential buyers for that white Uzay ST. :?

Ps: haven't had time anymore to take new shots off the Joe figs. Are you intrested in those or not, otherwise i won't take new pic's off them.

I think you're right about the paranoia and losing some potential buyers. So much for giving my two cents as I think I'm one of the most experienced people on those boards regarding the peroxyde story. For everyone else who doesn't know what the fuss is all about, it's the use of peroxyde hydrogen to "bleach" figures that have yellowed in time - I've carried out several experiments on my fodder bin Joes ('84 Storm Shadow anyone? :) ) but obviously then people will scream for suspicion when one of my figures looks white, even when it's genuinely so. I've actually had someone refer to the Uzay as "abnormally white". Again, so much for making a contribution, but I guess I can only blame myself - I should have known better :?

Anyway Dennis sorry it was my understanding you were going to send me updated pictures of the figures you had managed to complete (with their accessories). Please feel free to send them to me if you have had a chance to take any. Additionally there are a couple of things I'm interested in - but I don't think I have anything you'd be interested in, besides maybe the cloth cape Jawa?

Oh and I have a potential buyer for the Uzay too, I've just updated it to PENDING. Good news!

I'll try to upload pictures of the more common SW figures I have soon.

it's more like good communication with other collectors

By the way, i am still very busy, trying to get all ends fixed for moving next month, but in 2 weeks i have one week off, then i'll make some detailed pictures off all Joe figures again with accesoires and forward them.

Cheers, Dennis.

Edit: by the way, keep the jawa for me please as part off a trade for the Joe's

No problem buddy, I'll keep that Jawa for you! And no rush for the pictures, I said I'd help you sort it out anyway so you know what to sell them for.

Cheers!
