I told you those ****s read our forum. They would love to have Edd ban each of us to shut us up. We do not fit their idea of a perfect collecting community. We are not censored and voice our opinions (which may not align with there). I am glad we have a place to argue...bullshit...go off topic...and sometimes talk about the hobby we love. I agree with JoeY.......There are some good guys on there....but a handful of the more established ones and the MOD team make that place difficult to stomach...........besides alot of us are banned from RS and we have this great forum to carry on with and have our usual banter.

Oh and as for Josh.....I know he reads this.....so there we go again stroking ourselves......without you......Jealous :lol:

They won't ban Josh because even tho he trolls and stirs up as much **** as anyone, often searching other forums for dirt, alerting people to said dirt just to start trouble, he generally keeps in line with their beliefs and opinions their opinion which is now, it seems, a prerequisite to being allowed to post there. The MODs there and many of the members support the illegal production and mass sale of reproduction and bootleg/unlicensed Star Wars products and merchandise and as unbelievable as it sounds, those in the hobby who see this as wrong (and don't just go "Ah Well they're here to stay" [seriously what kind of dumb bullshit logic is that???]) those people are seen as wrong and "anti-hobby". Amazing.
It really highlights the bullshit way that joke of a place is being run and has been being run for quite a while now. Arrogant and narrow minded MODs who behave like a bunch of jumped up dictators. Which might be ok if it weren't for the shambles they let carry on sometimes.
There are many members on there who don't go a day without stirring up ****, verbally attacking those not in line with their way of collecting and talk down to new collectors and/or those not in the know/"professional collectors".
I left there a very long time ago cos i spotted back then the way it was being run and the kind of members they have there and the way they talk to you. It just wasn't the kind of place i was ok being a part of. But it got WAY worse. You can see that from the dozens and dozens of members who have posted here complaining about it. And i'm not just talking about long-standing members here who "just have an unjustified gripe with RS" i'm talking about people who came here off their own backs after FIRST joining up with RS and finding it completely hostile, catty, rude, arrogant and unwelcoming as an environment. Those people were never influenced by any long standing grudge or so called "trouble makers" trying to poison them to RS. These members came to it on their own (for whatever reason) and whatever you think of RS you can't deny that these kind of members are fleeing here more and more.

I really feel they should add a not to their title "Professional Collectors Forum" and perhaps RS should now stand for REPRO SANCTUARY.

Hey, did i ever tell you guys about the time a MOD on RS threatened to close down someones sale thread because he was selling custom carded figures??... (seriously. It was one of the main reasons i left. I could not and still cannot believe the hypocrisy. Shocking)

Of course. :lol: And i don't care. I'm not bitching or name calling i'm just saying how i think things are. Josh is the one who crow-bars himself right into the centre of these kind of arguments which i'm 100% certain he doesn't actually give 2 tosses about (despite the pages and pages of copy he's dedicated to it thus far)
I always attempt to be honest and this situation here doesn't really affect me at all as i don't ever intend posting on RS again (don't think i have in a very long time either) so believe it or not i can look at it with some clarity and perspective.
If people didn't come over here complaining about RS and it's MODs and members and the general attitude and vibe of the place i wouldn't give it or it's MODs and members a 2nd thought.
Leave bitching, name calling, and cattiness aside for a sec.... i don't think supporting the mass production and distribution of repros -[identical copies of original vintage items] is good for the hobby in the short or long term. It's also highly illegal. That's it. The fact that "everyone's doing it tho" and "errr idiots, they're not going away so..." as awesome and watertight those reasons to abandon morals and principal are, i will never. Maybe cos i'm stubborn, maybe because i'm narrow minded maybe because i believe that even if you're the only one in a 1000 to think something's wrong while no one else agrees, that is no reason to stop thinking it and (if you think it's worthwhile enough) fight against it or just vocalise your distaste on, so called, forums of free speech.
Those same members on RS telling you "there are more important things in life guys get over it... god, losers" are also chastising those same people for not being "serious toy collectors" :lol: . So it seems everyone lacks a little perspective in this hobby at times.

He's after everyone it's nothing to with me. It's his issues. He's the only constant factor in the, roughly, 50 or so fall-outs he's had on the forums over the years.

This was about having opinions....going off topic.....and disliking production reproductions (or bootlegs???). I t then turned into a thread were the dictatorship of another forum has banned people for chiming in and expressing opinions. That is it ...full stop. If any of us banned people values those ****s so much...its easy to make another fake account and keep our mouths shut as their MOD team wishes. I think banning people for strong hatred of their forum...from comments on another website kinda sums up the mentality we are dealing with here. Not so much the membership, but the MODs themselves.
