I used to do a fair bit of carp fishing when i lived in the UK. They're seen as a pest in Australia & no-one fishes for them coz they don't taste great!

When I lived in Canberra we use to go down and try and get a carp just for a bit of fun!
You should have seen the Asians :roll: They take the whole clan down fishing...I am talking like 15-20 people at least! Everyone has a rod even 3 and 4 year old's lol!
Moral of the story asians would eat **** on a stick I reckon coz carp is fooking awful :shock:

I did a year on the charter boats here before 2000! We were targeting Sailfish mostly but we got the odd Black Marlin!

i used to fish for salmon and never really bothered trout , caught a nice 18lb salmon once that was my best and he faught like mad for 25 minutes , i was so feckin pleased i felt like king of the world :mrgreen:

I love fishin, do a hell of alot of carp anglin'.... I used to do a month in france every year and a month @ my dads in the states mainly for the fishin'!!! Almost met my end on a dangerous cliff once just because the spot was good for fish! lmao. :wink:

i caught a 16lb mirror carp a few months ago on 5lb line and fishing a bacon grill cube on the bottom, 20mins it took me to get it landed...great fun
